reasonability or comfortability

The rate from Orbitz was better than others in the area. However, breakfast is NOT included in the rate unusually in the hotels around. Rooms are old and smell as we see, which is common in Salem area. However, the front staff is very friendly and courteous.

redlion stay

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Poor parking due to a wedding party using up all the front parking during a heavy rain storm. I had to park on the street adjacent to the hotel.

I slept so well!

The bed was so comfortable! I slept better at the Red Lion than I have in my own home in a long time! We spent some time in the lounger, and the bartender was great. He was happy to take pictures for us, and they even had Wii bowling going on! The location made it very easy to find.

Great for a good night's sleep

The Salem Red Lion was very comfortable. It had a cozy down comforter/bedspread and soft padding covering the mattress on the beds. The room was pretty small, but the large bathroom and cozy beds made up for the small room. It is centrally located near the capitol area, hospital and lots of great dining places. The freeway ( I-5 ) is very close, but no noise from the traffic was heard. A good place to snuggle in for the night!
