Salem was smokin....
Staff was attentive and friendly. While our 1st floor non-smoking room was in the midst of several others, I didn't realize that meant the smoking section was.... right outside the door! Of the 6 rooms nearby, 4 seemed to be inhabited by folks who stood outside the doors to smoke. Of course, this meant that our A/C unit pulled in the aroma and smoke into our room. Not fun! Next time, we're opting for a 2nd floor room -- away from smokers!

Motel Smelled bad & not clean
Visited family & friends yes, it supposed to be non-smoking room and it smelled like someone been smoking in there for days or months...it smells so bad, we almost left trip was great, motel was terrible

good for the price
was in town for just over night. Motel was as described. Nothing fancy but the bed was good and the room was clean. I checked in later than planned and they were very nice about my very late arrival.

Great location for bus service and shops
The staff and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful to all my needs and questions. Will stay there again on my next trip to Salem.

Great price, friendly service.
The helper at the front desk saw that I was travelling with a small child, and he upgraded my room to include a fridge and microwave for food and milk preparation. Very nice. They were also flexible with our request for a late checkout. The room was clean and comfortable and cheap, which was exactly what I wanted. My only disappointment was I didn't pack a blow dryer, expecting that one would be in the room. It wasn't, and none were available at the front desk for guest use.

Motel 6, Salem
Friendly clerk checked me in quickly. Gave me information I needed for the next day. Room was small, very basic, but was clean and had necessities (decent bed, TV, phone, good sized bathroom). Far enough from freeway to be pretty quiet. Plenty of parking. All in all, not bad for the price.

Good for the price
Just looking for the cheapest room for one night, driving from LA to Seattle. It was better than I expected. I would stay there again. Comfortable beds. Decent parking.

Picked up a hd tv flatscreen for cheap, Oregon has no sales tax, but watch out for the police and be aware the constantly changing speed limits. Especially if you are from California.

Visiting Mom...
The breakfast was good, however, well before 9am, as the food diminished, was not replenished. The sign should read "breakfast until 9am or as supplies last" or something to indicate that when the food runs out by 8:30am there will be no more available.
