A Rose of a hotel in Roseburg!
The Windmill Inn in Roseburg, Oregon has it all - great location just off the freeway, yet quiet! An Elmer's Restaurant is just next door, but you still are provided a complementary on-site breakfast too. In addition, for pet owners, pets are welcomed at NO extra charge!! We'll be checking out Windmills two other locations since we were so impressed with this one. "Try it, you'll like it!"

Nice Stay
Very easy to get to off of I-5. Nice breakfast provided and Elmer's restaurant next door has good food for all meals. We like to travel with our dog and they are very pet friendly.

Clean and comfortable...yummy breakfast.
Good location, after we visited the Crater Lake. It's easy to find, and easy to get on the highway next day to continue our trip. The room is clean and quiet although it's close to highway. We enjoy the stay in Windmill Inn of Roseburg.

A Stay at the Windmill Inn
I found it to be a clean place but the rooms were very average and not many extras. The TV was old and the bath tub and shower were just OK. I expected more from it's star ratimg in relationship to nearby places. The breakfast was poor compared to places like the best western. The satff was very friendly and the place is located well. We did not use the pool but it looks like a nice one.

Haven for Dog Lovers
This hotel was rated high on a travel search website so booked it since it was closer to Crater Lake National Park but not worth the cost. It seemed to cater to dog lovers which may have been the reason for the strong unpleasant smell(cleaning solution) in our room. There were several guests with large dogs walking the parking lot. This place should be recommended and would be great for those traveling with dogs, but otherwise try someplace else.

Great staff but...
We spent one night in room 178 on a business trip. The employees were friendly and efficient. The room was clean & the bed wasn't too bad. The walls were thin; could hear the neighbors talking (could hear what they were saying) and snoring. The road traffic was loud. The tub drained too slowly; when I finished my shower the water was above my ankles. Pool and work out room looked very inviting. Don't think I would stay again. We need our rest when we are traveling.

Cute Haven for Weary Oregon Travelers.
After a long day of driving up from California to Oregon, the Windmill Inn proved to be a comfy resting spot on highway 5. Not the most glamorous city in the word, Roseburg did not offer an exiciting paradise for the adventure seeker. But it was a safe area and fulfilled it's duty as a pit-stop city. The hotel was very clean, and the service made me smile with it's country-like-kindness and sincere welcome. My room was larger than I expected, and the plethora of chairs made it a challenge to sit in each one before the day was through. VERY comfortable beds, and a quasi-luxurious bathroom. VERY safe, especially for a single woman traveler!! In the morning, I was greeted to an adorable complementary breakfast where I feasted on homemade Belgian waffles and hot coffee. And as I left Roseburg to embark on my next day's jouneys, the staff was sure to wish me safe travels and chit chat about the weather. I helped myself to a free cup of coffee in their lobby, and bid the Inn farewell. I don't know if I will necessarily be returning anytime soon to Roseburg, OR. But if life takes me back to that small nook of Americana, I no doubt will check in to the Windmill Inn again.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Anthony's Italian Cafe was a great spot to eat! It is located 1 exit South of the Windmill Inn's exit, and is well worth the tiny drive. Delicious Italian food (the Lemon Chicken Parmigiana was the best I've ever had... and believe it or not- I've been to Italy TWICE) and adorable atmosphere. Great for families, dates, or by yourself!

We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again
The venue was spotlessly clean and kept that way 24 hours a day for the four days we stayed. Staff was wonderful. The free breakfast was very good with a cheerful, helpful attendant. Since we were traveling with pets, we also appreciated that this hotel is very pet friendly with a large area to walk them.. Although the hotel is a non-smoking facility, they had built a little smoking gazeebo on the grounds with a table, benches and an ashtray for those who wished to smoke. Although we would have liked a restaraunt in the hotel, there was an Elmer's just across the parking lot. Other good places to eat a short drive.
