Disability access

I can barely walk without assitance. My room was on an upper floor-no elevator. When we told them we would have to go somewhere else, they suddenly found a ground floor room for us.

nice and quiet

It was a pleasant stay, location is very good (close to I-5), and views of mountains available from the hotel. We drove from Crater lake to Roseburg, and we stayed for one night only (moving on to Florence and along the coas), and for that it was very comfy. Staff were very helpful. The microwave and fridge came in very handy. Breakfast provided include cereals, fruit, fruit juice, toast, butter and jam :) The only thing that could've been better was the size of the bathrooms. It could have been larger.

Very nice! But pool right near busy road

I was looking for a hotel near the Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR. Roseburg is only a few miles away[...]. I paid about ten more dollars than the cheaper hotel on the other side of I-5 without a pool, thinking I would come back from the Safari and wind down with a nice swim. Well, I didn't realize until I pulled into the parking lot that the pool is right next to Harvard Road--which has a lot of traffic. It's not very relaxing. Also, I had a lot of luggage and there is no elevator to the second floor. They offered me a first floor room, but as I was traveling alone I thought a second floor room would be safer. They didn't tell me there wasn't an elevator. So, when I came back from shopping after the Safari and was bringing to my room the bulk of my luggage, I found that my key didn't work, I had to bring all my luggage back down the stairs with me to the lobby to get it fixed and carry them back up the stairs to my room at the end of the hall. It was a pain. It's not their fault, my keys got demagnitized when I was shopping. But, my advice: if you are traveling with a lot of luggage, get a first floor room.

6 miles to the Wildlife Safari--do not miss it if you are passing through. Give yourself 2 hours to experience the wild animals.

Wonderful Honeymoon getaway

We were on our honeymoon, and the whole surrounding was so romantic. We traveled juts down the road to Winston and went to Wildlife Safarai and had a great time there. Roseburg itself was just a laid back town, and was peaceful and restful. We wanted to send pictures by email home to the kids while we were gone but due to slow and bad connections with the wireless internet were unable to do so. Over all, we had a wonderful trip and our planning on repeating it for our anniversary.

Wildlife Safarai was wonderful, we drove through, then walked through the pavillion, then drove through again, just like suggested to us. We were able to see quite a few more animals the second time through that we hadn't seen the first time.

OK for the price...

This is a rough neighborhood. Very loud on balcony and couldn't leave the bathroom window open without a lot of traffic noise and foul language from the businesses across the street. There is no elevator to the 2nd and 3rd floors. PRIVACY ISSUES; Let them know in advance of your reservation if you want them to keep your reservation private! We were in Oregon on a private legal matter and the people who we did not want to know when or where we were staying, were given the information about our reservation over a month before our stay. Of course the reservations are not refundable or we would have stayed elsewhere. I did try to get this reservation changed due to the breach of confidentiality but that was after the info was leaked and after I had a chance to call to make sure our info was private which by then was too late. I assumed our information was already secure and private. We didn't feel safe to leave any valuables or medications in the room so we had to get a cooler to take our meds in the car with us. It's not a bad hotel, we just had some bad experiences. The view and the use of the park is nice. The continental breakfast leaves a great deal to be desired. Cold stale cereal, fruit past it's prime, Whatever was supposed to be OJ was more like Tang. Maybe I'm just picky. Also they only have a few rooms with tubs, I believe they are all on the first floor. The shower was OK, small, but I have never stayed anywhere that didn't have a tub too.

There is a Denny's right across the street which was convenient but one afternoon I did see someone kick out a car window in their parking lot so do be aware and stay safe. The neighborhood is rough!

Comfort with a beautiful view

The Travelodge in Roseburg was very easy to find and easy to access. The front desk staff was VERY friendly and polite! Our view from the back deck was beautiful (yes, it has an actual deck with chairs and a table to sit outside and enjoy the weather and the wonderful view of the river private park). It seems to be centrally located in the town and it is easy to find things from there. Although we didn't have the chance to try the pool, there were families with kids having a really good time. They weren't overly loud just having a good time. Once you went in your room you couldn't hear outside noises unless you opened the windows. I would definately stay there again!

Ideal for my needs

At the Travelodge Roseburg, the price and location were just what I needed. The desk clerk was very efficient, patient and nice. The property is excellently maintained, the pool is small but clean and wonderful, my room was very clean, quiet and comfortable with a small refrigerator and microwave. If you are there when the weather is nice, take a moment to enjoy the nice park-like garden (with view of the river),it too is excellently maintained. All in all,a pleasant experience with one caveat - be careful when entering and exiting the parking lot,the property location makes a somewhat tricky reentry to the traffic stream.

Very thoughtful

Was upgraded for $5.00 to a room overlooking the river. Check in was very friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel, but very clean and comfortable. Had a coffee pot, frig, and microwave. Table and 2 comfortable chairs. Shower no tub which was fine with me. Denny's and other resteraunts close and a quick stop across the street. Easy access to the freeway and town.
