Great Way to Treat Yourself
Lots of great accommodations at this centrally located hotel. Felt like I was 5-10min away from anything I wanted to get to (Powells/Voodoo), to catch a bus, or the staff were happy to call a taxi or towncar. Was in town for a wedding and enjoyed the comfortable room to come back to after the fun nights. Very accommodating, though I wish in room dining would have extended their service by an hour on both ends of the spectrum. The staff was excellent and I enjoyed the classy atmosphere but was always nice to encounter the ever smiling staff and the welcomed pet dogs in the lobby.

Great getaway weekend
We went to Portland to visit with family there. Kimpton Vintage Hotel was lovely, the staff was very helpful and most courteous during our entire stay of 4 days. We loved the relaxing 'Happy Hour' as a place and time to unwind after days full of sightseeing. The room that we had for three was small and there was a roll a way added for a third member. Later, the hotel thinned out and we were able to change to a larger room and it was certainly more comfortable. The door men, bell men and registration staff were all very professional. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Weekend at the Vintage Plaza
We were interested in getting away from Seattle for a couple nights. Downtown Portland is always a fun easy getaway. Besides my wife occasionally needs a fix from Powells Books. The Vintage Plaza is not only close to the bookstore, but put us within walking distance of everything we would like to do downtown. The room was reasonably sized and the bed was VERY comfortable. It was great to have a wine reception in the afternoon. The staff was very accomodating. The fitness center could be a tad larger but the equipment was fairly new and maintained. Our only problem was that we got to town when the Portland Twilight Parade was occuring so there was no way to actually get to the hotel till after it was over at 11:00 PM. Fortunately we could park not too many blocks away and walk over to the hotel. Actually proved to be cheaper than the valet. Great weekend place. Just remember to check for parades.

APizza Shoels in the Hawthorne District is some of the best pizza on the planet. Get there early. They make their own dough. When it runs out they are done for the night.

Great location and very nice hotel
Taking the light rail MAX from PDX to downtown was a snap and just a two block walk to the hotel. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Pazzo's right at the hotel. After dinner we walked about downtown and enjoyed a Spanish coffee at Hubers then over to the Benson hotel for some live Jazz and martinis. Great evening with a Timbers win over Columbus.

romantic weekend downtown
We live in Portland, but wanted to celebrate our anniversary someplace special. This was a perfect choice for us because it was within walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants we wanted to visit. We had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant Pazzo and enjoyed the hotels wine reception.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Use a smartpark lot rather than the hotels valet parking which costs $33 plus tip. We parked 3 blocks away and payed only $4 for over night parking. Asked to get your ticket validated at any local buisness.

Star Room
The room was fantastic. It had all the amenities you would expect minus a dvd player. The view was what we hoped for - towering over the downtown area. We enjoyed just being in the room for hours.
