So-so hotel

The room was clean, but small and dark. For the same amount of money I could have stayed at a better place.

last minute lowest price available

The location was more distant from pleasant activities - because I hadn't known I had to make a reservation until the day before we went. The place was wholly adequate - except that now, with the awareness about cig smell, places including this one, are using perfumery to cover up the old smells. I had to wash/clean any things I had in the hotel room when I came home. Staff of course was brilliant!! All was clean! I charge $275 for surveys. See if you can get all the places not to perfume. We slept there. Had three breakfasts and one lunch there. Food is cheapest - so least nutritious - white bread-like. This is the level at which I usually travel - cheapest. Thank you for CHEAP's help in the purchase. It came up at the right time to pay the least possible I could find for the ok accommodation - no pool, not close in - not your fault. Too little ability to ventilate using the outside air - too noisy - a truck stop - much traffic, small window opening. The air control machine - heater/cooler was noisey. I prefer an open window even with hot weather. What's wrong with living in capitalism is you have to answer yes or no to ?recommend . I wouldn't yes or no to a friend this hotel.

Don't forget to pack earplugs

The room was comfortable and clean, but the lounge is incredibly loud until quite late. I'm a heavy sleeper so this wasn't much of an issue for me, but pack earplugs.

This is a truck drivers dream. Not a couples retreat.

There is a new part of the hotel and old. Ask to stay in the new part. We were put into the old part.

Clean & nice location

I had to book a hotel last minute and this place was part of a 15% off deal this site was having. My significant other was accompanying me and I didn't want him to be bored while I was away at a work thing. this hotel was great in that it has an on site movie theater, restaurant, deli, convenience store, etc...so he was able to keep busy. it also had a gas station in the same parking lot, so refilling my tank the next day was as easy as it gets and it is only a couple mins from the freeway. I was a little disappointed in the amenities of the room, and the location of the room we were given. online it stated that there were hairdryers in the rooms. however, when we got there, there was no hairdryer. I had to call the front desk and then go pick it up from them. lame! the pillows were the next disappointment. lumpy and zero support provided. the bed was on the hard side, but not too bad. the room itself was VERY clean! so that was good, but the location sucked. it was right beside the on site bar/lounge. the first night the loud music stopped early (10-11pm-ish), but the next night it went on till about 1am and was accompanied by drunks yelling at each other right outside our window! not very fun to listen to when your trying to sleep! over all this hotel is nice, but be sure to request a room on the other side and possibly upstairs. also, bring your own pillows!!! its good for the price and the amenities it provides helps minimize the need to search for near by restaurants and things to do to keep busy. I gave it 3 stars...not a great hotel, but not the worst. good if your only staying a couple nights!

A relaxing experience

I was booking a last minute getaway to Portland, and The Portlander Inn had some rooms available. When I was checking out the room types, one caught my eye. King size bed with Jacuzzi jet tub. I was sold. While the location is a bit a ways away, and they don't have much to offer in the way of your typical overnight stay, the tub in the room is awesome.
