Business trip

It was a very pleasant cozy stay, staff is very nice, there were some hair on the sink though when I came and in my room the wireless didn't work that well - was fine for emails, but not for streaming videos. The bar that's attached to the hotel was also very good and the complimentary breakfast buffet on Sunday was excellent, all the other days still got a full complimentary breakfast with great coffee.

The stay was very good, but this time we thought the carpet in our room was very unclean looking. As for the staff everyone was wonderful.

Horrible

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 22, 2015
My Wife and I Traveled to Portland for a 3 day business trip, we book our entire trip through your company and when booking the hotel you gave this particular hotel 3.5 out of 5 starts. This hotel at best was only 1 star the room smelled strongly of bleach which worried us and upon further investigation found that the hotel was reticently busted for prostitution and drugs we immediately checked out and found a different hotel. Also as we were leaving people were in the hallway smoking marijuana and doing other drugs more then likely, and the last concern we had was the room let people know on the outside of the door if it was occupied or vacant if you locked the door that to me is an easy way to get robbed or killed. I am not happy at all

Disappointed staff

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 22, 2015
The receptionist, Ester was rude. Three couples were processed before me about 3:00 p.m..So I went to other man. The man said if I pay $ 10.00, the room is ready now and upgrated. Ester said we process differently with different reservations. I demanded to fill the registration form while waiting. Then miraculously the room was available at at 3:10 p.m..I know general check - in time is at 4:00 p.m. We only could use the shower, not tub. I have been using this Inn since 2006.

Trip with sister

Would not recommend Wed, Oct 21, 2015
The hotel grounds were nice and the food was very good however the service was poor. It took three requests to get coffee, the wait staff could be heard sighing loudly, as if they really did not want to be there. We had to have someone from the desk get a hostess to seat us on one occasion, even though there was only one other table with patrons at the time. There was one young male server who was friendly that we encountered. The room had no information on the hotel or the channels for the TV.

Awesome first time to Oregon

Would recommend Wed, Oct 14, 2015
It was our first time in Oregon but the hotel room was great for us because it was near Portland and there was a bunch of places to go see near the shilo inn, the staff was amazing and very friendly. If you're thinking it's gonna be a fancy hotel it's not but it's definitely a good deal hotel to stay at.

Portland trip

Would not recommend Wed, Oct 14, 2015
First night the screen door was broken. From there on it goes down hill. Also paid extra for a courtyard view ended up in a corner away from it. There was a strange odor. The complimentary breakfast is not vegetarian friendly. Had to go to other breakfast diners. The only pleasant staff member was the hostess in the mark diner.

Dissapointed

Would not recommend Tue, Oct 13, 2015
Was looking for a place to stay that was a reasonable distance to Portland, was clean, offered basic amenities and was affordable. The fact that there was a restaurant on site that offered a free breakfast to guests was a bonus. We read the reviews prior to booking and were aware that the property was dated however we were still dissapointed upon arrival. The room was very outdated and grungy. Ice makers and cooling/heating units were loud. There was an offensive odor throughout the entire property. Room cleanliness was subpar- dirt in the drawers and hair on the shower walls. Food in the restaurant was mediocre and redicilously overpriced. Short staffed and inconsistent in service and food presentation. Disappointing overall.
