Get ready for surprises...

This hotel does provide a good price, but expect this local business not to have big hotel chain technologies. The front desk is not connected to o r b i t z reservation system so they had to call o r b i t z to "find" our reservation. The entire property is smoke-free (except for their no-cig cigar bar) even though we purchased a smoking room on o r b i t z. Rooms are large, but old-school (tube tv, microwave and coffee maker stacked on a dorm fridge). Bonus: No bed bugs. Decent wi-fi. Fun pool and a fun property. More pleasant surprises: breakfast included, saving $15/day right there. Convenience store across the street. Italian restaurant next door. Good location with onsite restaurant, bar, pool. Overall: impressed with getting more value at the price we paid. I recommend this hotel (don't expect too much tho) and will stay here again.

Good alternative to hotels inside Portland

Only about 10 to 15 minutes from Portland, and maybe a 5 minute walk to public transportation. For the price difference, it's a great deal. Staff were super friendly, and while the hotel itself was not anything overly fancy, it's got everything you need while staying there and checking out the city or waiting for a flight.

Portland Business Trip

The location and rooms looked nothing like the pics online. We found huge blood stains on our mattress, it looked like a CRIME SCENE! The hotel manager compensated our stay due to the unclean state of our room. I would never stay there again.

Wonderful Medical Stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Very nice, very comfortable and the personnel were extremely co-operative, polite and personable. Easy to get to hospital for appointment and to find our son's house so we could visit. Really made this a most enjoyable stay.

Disappointing

They had a bunch of kids in for a soccer tournament and they allowed these kids to run around past 10:00 PM screaming and carrying on. 4 calls to the front desk resulted inNOTHING to curb the noise.d

Really Needs Work

Check-in was severely protracted, lobby and restaurant smelled of smoke. Room was not completely clean, lights insufficient for reading. No thermostat and wall air conditioner did not work. Restaurant staff doing double duty in two areas. Rooms not very secure (chair blocking door, for example, instead of proper security). No elevator when trying to carry baggage for four children up and down hill from parking and stairs inside. Generally, completely inadequate relative to other hotels I stayed in at the same price range for the previous two weeks traveling around the US (including other Portland area hotels). Overall shabby and understaffed as well as insecure and inefficient.

It gets the job done...

I was in the Portland area for work and needed a basic place to stay with value. The hotel served its purpose by being close to Portland, even with traffic it was 15-20 minutes to downtown. They have a restaurant that actually serves good, a lounge and a cigar bar. The wi-if was slow, but other than that, it was a fine place to stay.

Friendly staff, nice room and great price! Enjoyed both the sports bar and cigar bar. Very relaxing after a long day of travel and sales calls.
