In Portland for training

Portland is a beautiful city. While there we tried to eat at restaurants near the river or with a view. All were great. People were friendly and helpful. The staff at Rivers Edge is very helpful and accommodating.

So glad we stayed at River's Edge!

The location is so beautiful. Right on the Williamette River. We sat on our balcony and watched watercraft go by. The free bikes they offer were really fun and the spa services were great. So glad we didn't stay downtown. We were only a short mile and a half away and the public trolley picked us up right by the hotel and took us into the city. The service in the restaurant was slow but the food was very good and sitting on their outdoor patio overlooking the river was great. All in all a great experience,

Close enough to downtown!

Loved this new find in Portland, just close enough to downtown without being in the middle of everything. Nice walk along the river, beautiful and clean rooms and hotel, lovely people. Would definitely go back and highly recommend!

Quick trip

Hotel under renovation and lobby also overwhelmed with smell of spa. Room service was mediocre. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room itself was fine but nothing special. Setting along the river was gorgeous but nothing in walking distance. Breakfast at Aqua Riva was very good and excellent staff.

Treated well but hoped for more

We stayed here the night of our wedding in one of the large suites. The staff was very accommodating and comped our valet parking when they found out we had just gotten married. The wraparound balcony was very nice we ordered room service for breakfast and ate outside. The food was good and surprisingly not too overpriced. The room was, indeed, huge, with one-and-a-half bathrooms. However, for a relatively expensive room, the furnishings seemed fairly standard, and the fireplace didn't seem to work. Unfortunately, we weren't there long enough to take advantage of any of the hotel's other amenities, so I can't comment on those.

Surprisingly good

It was a new experience to stay a ways away from downtown Portland, as we like the convenience of leaving our car. But Rivers Edge was where we landed, and it was a treat in many ways. Especially the location on the banks of the Willamette, far enough away from town to be serene, with a fantastic path at the river's edge. But we also were pleased with the room. Comfortable, roomy, a balcony over the river, huge bathroom. I would have liked a microwave in the room was glad for the frig. Next time, I'll remember my swimsuit and use the spa facilities. The restaurant was also verly good our breakfast (with the river view) was splendid. Have you ever tasted raspberry ginger lime jam? Wow.
