Thanksgiving in Portland
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and never failed to take care of special requests. It was a great location for us as it was a short walk from our daughter's apartment.

Great service, very clean
We were only in Portland for a day, but we had an enjoyable time at the hotel. It was very spaceous and clean. We would definitely go back in the future. Only downside is that parking is an additional cost.

The hotel was in average condition,the breakfast was above average for a free breakfast and the breakfast staff were very pleasant. The location worked well for our shopping and dining needs

dont pay 24 dollars for parking at the hotel. there is plenty on street parking thats free from 7 pm until 11 am on the weekends

Good location
Nice place to stay if you are attending an event during the week at Oregon Health Science University. The hotel allowed us to keep our cars in the parking lot after check-out while we attended our conference. However, the staff at the desk could have been more updated about tram and streetcar schedules especially for those of us who aren't familiar with the area. We walked to the tram to go up the hill only to find that it didn't open until 9am on Saturday. We would have been stuck taking a taxi if we hadn't found others that were going to the conference and were able to ride with them. Maybe the hotel could provide schedules and costs for travelers.

Most of all good
The staff was really friendly and the place felt safe. They have a really nice pool. They do forget to mentoin that parking is $25.00 a night, i wasn't happy about that. I thought the free shuttle that they offer would make up for that... but it just made it worse. You can't count on being able to use the service. So I had some problems with that. The free breakfast that they serve is really good and the staff is friendly, [...] was a great help at the front desk. If it wernt for the price of parking I would say this is a great place to stay, but to drive into town you have to pay for parking every were so to also have to pay were I am staying, I might as well drive a little farther and stay at a cheaper hotel and get free parking.

Long walk from hotel
You can walk to downtown, but i would go by vehicle. Also if you can figure out the shuttle or the bus its free. A cab will coast about $7 TO $10. If you want to find out about the places to go take one of the food tours the city offers, they are great!! You will find out alot and then you will know where to go in the city. Great places to eat, shop, and drink:) Its a really fun city. And easy to walk all over.

Excellent place to stay!
The location was good--close to downtown and the free transit system. It was nice to go jogging in the mornings along the river. The staff were helpful, and the room felt very private.

A wonderful surprise!
My husband and I went to Portland for one of my best friend's weddings. Our flight out there was horrible, but when we got to the hotel everything changed! We called from Chicago to let them know we would be delayed, and when we got in at 1am they were ready for us, and had delivery recommendations for us. The room we had was bigger, and better than our first studio in NYC. The Kitchen is fully stocked with plates, appliances etc. And if you want, you can leave them a list and they will go grocery shopping for you! The mattress was not so comfy, but the rest of the bed was pretty good. We thought we were far away from everthing because we were by the water, but it was really convenient even though we had no car. It was a great hotel to spend the week at and we will stay there everytime we go to Portland!

If you are up to it, a walk to Powell's Books lets you see most of the downtown area! Also, Hammy's Pizza is the best pizza I have ever had, and they deliver until 4am
