Red Lion on the River Jantzen Beach

The staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel itself is a beautiful facility. I was fortunate to be there the night of the Christmas ships. They were beautifully adorned with Christmas lights and the view from the hotel restaurant was breathtaking. The meals, in the restaurant, are more expensive than what I would normally think of spending. However, the meals were excellent.

This hotel was right on the river. Absolutely beautiful! We walked out our back door onto a tennis court and then a walkway along the river. The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and the decor was rich. They have a fine dining restaurant in the hotel which was incredible. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. We may go to Portland again soon just to enjoy this hotel again. Really! The price for the quality and luxury was unbelievable. If you are travelling and need to stay in Portland, do yourself a favor - use Orbitz, get the great price, and enjoy true luxury.

Great View, make sure if youi book see if you can get a room with a view of the river else you are facing a parking lot and a Taco Bell. Nice bar to sit outside and look at the river and have a drink. Big hotels which is spread out. Not near the light rail line but parking was free so it is great if you have a car.

We upgraded for a river view at this hotel, and although we could see the river, we had a better view of the pool area. We expected a better room as well, but it was an average size and not a lot of space for clothes. We were in the flight path of the airport, and heard planes starting at 6 am. The staff was good, but we will probably stay elsewhere the next time we visit Portland.

Only bad thing, traffic getting on and off the Highway.

Came to Portland to travel and sightsee. Hotel was a great place to relax after busy days. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool and tennis courts were enjoyable. Only negative was it was a bit of a hike to get into Portland via cabs.

great central location. close to airport, access to freeway. Safeway, and Restaurants nearby.

This hotel was a great base for our family vacation in the Portland area. The rooms are nice, a decent size, and very clean. The location along the river is great, although we did not get a river view from our room. The staff are courteous and nice. There's not much right on the island in terms of dining or entertainment, but the espresso shack is a wonderful find.

The hotel in is a very good location. It is on an island in the middle of the Columbia River. Our balcony overlooked the river with a spectacular view of Mt. St Helens in the distance. The hotel is easy access off I-5 which made it easy to get where ever we were going and back to the hotel. There are many peoples to eat near by. I would definately stay again.
