We needed a hotel near the airport for an early morning flight. The beds were very comfortable, the staff helpful, and the shuttle very prompt.

Reasonable low cost accommation at pdx
We chose this hotel because it has an on-site sports bar and restaurant, both of which were of adequate, but not outstanding quality. The room was located in a separate building towards the rear of the complex. Although we arrived early, the desk clerk was unable to find a vacant room with a king-size so we settled for two queens. Parking was free and no problem finding a space. All in all, a reasonable low cost choice for a short stay.

Dining tip:
In Hotel
The restaurant and sports bar are adjacent to the main building. The dinner menu offers a relatively wide variety of dishes. The bar is slightly garish, was at times a bit loud and is sparingly stocked. Both are adequate if you prefer on-site facilities.

Hire some people!!!
Front desk was manned by 1 person. He answered the phone, checked in guests, checked out guests, greeted guests, took wake up call requests, took in long term parking requests, and made shuttle time requests. It took way to long to check in AND my room was not made up. Back to the front desk, another long wait in line to get another room. After dropping my wife at the airport, I returned to my room to find out that "someone" had checked me out. Another hassle with the front desk and the maids and then I got to get a nap and then...... :P

Good location
Before booking I had read that the landing of the airplanes can wake you up or just not let you sleep, but thats definitely not the case. We could not hear much, yes you can hear it but its not loud enough to wake you up or not let you sleep. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the staff was at first a little grumpy but then just became so friendly and helpful.

2-night stay before flight home
The hotel does not have an elevator, nor does it provide free breakfast. For half the price of Hampton Inn, I could easily do without. The room was as comfortable as places charging twice as much: Nice pillow top bed, modern TV, great bathroom. I arrived late at night and was happy to be able to eat dinner in the attached restaurant (open till 11PM). Very convenient. (There are no other restaurants in the area and I wouldn't suggest walking around at night alone). I used the free airport shuttle several times. I used it to pick up the train which can take you downtown. I was very, very happy with my stay. I have sampled most of the other Portland airport hotels, but I will return to this one. Great value. Very comfortable.

Take the free shuttle to the airport and buy an all day pass for the train. The pass works on bus and streetcar. For a mere $5, you can get around Portland for an entire day and back to your room at night.

Hotel is a misnomer - this is a motel.
Stayed 4 nights. Room clean and comfortable. This is a motel, not a hotel. You must drive to your room and you must have a key to enter the building at all times. Don't get the king bed unless you plan to spend all your time in the bed. There is no room for anything else. The location is good if you need to be right by the airport. The cost and pretty much everything about this place is average. Resturant closes at 10AM, yes, AM.- no lunch or dinner. If you stay here, you better have a car.
