Bad weather retreat while traveling

The staff checked me in. There was no amazement to the service provided. I was not impressed but it was not horrible. The hallway had an odd smell. I had reserved a king bed and got two queen. I like the noon chec out time. Housekeeping was very polite and said they would come back later. Very cold bathroom floors. Curtains in room wouldnt close all the way or open all the way.

Stay in Portland

The hotel was clean, near the airport and comfortable. In general i found people in Portland to be cold and rude , but not so with your staff. The night auditor on duty the night we arrived was very friendly and helpful as was the shuttle driver. The front desk staff was in general ok but the woman on duty the morning we left was very friendly The staff who cleaned the rooms were great and accommodating. . I was very disappointed in the restaurant and would not recommend it or eat there on a return trip.

Room

Fitted sheets did not fit the mattress and was off on all 4 corners from the time I pulled the covers away from sheets. Other than that found it was a very comfortable roomy room.

Clean and Reasonable

I was able to get a clean room with a kitchenette, along with fitness room, pool, hot tub and sauna for a little over $50 a night. GREAT value and very friendly/helpful staff. They even drove me to the airport off their regular shuttle schedule after I missed the regular run (which runs every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day).

Would not stay here again

A little old and run down needs a update. No elevators so you have to drag your suitcases up and down flights of stairs if you do not have a room on the first floor.

I felt comfortable to stay in this hotel. My room, hallways, and parking lot are clean. Front desk personel was okay. Free public eternet service. Free coffee and orange juice in the morning. Plenty of parking spaces. Very quiet.

Cheap Rate and Comfy Bed

I booked this hotel because my flight plans were altered and I needed to stay and extra night. They offered a free hotel shuttle (24hrs a day), so that was the primary reason I chose this hotel. Orbitz offered it for about $70 total for a King room. The room was huge. Despite being an Airport Hotel, my room 411 on the 2nd Floor had zero noise. It was like a tomb. The wall separating the bathroom was mirrored, with special lighting, and full counter with a sink, microwave and mini fridge. Pretty cool set up. It would be great for an extended stay if you needed to be that far out for business, but its a bit remote from the cool parts of Portland, with the exception of NE Alberta, which I was able to get to in 10 minutes via side streets.

Adequate accommodations; very good location

This older motel was strong on front desk helpfulness and accessible free computer in the lobby -- which made printing boarding passes for the return flight a breeze (for infrequent fliers who had never done than before). The bed was comfy and the room ample. For a non-smoking it seemed musty -- as if the carpet had never recovered from someone smoking in it. The coffeemaker was not cleaned daily. The location made it easy to get to several restaurants and attractions and the airport.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Chinese Garden at 3rd & Everett, N.W. (downtown on W. side of river) is a special one acre recreation of a traditional chinese scholar's garden. Steve, our volunteer docent shared great details during a free hour-long tour.
