Quality Inn Downtown Convention Center

Our stay was very enjoyable. Location was perfect. We attended a concert at the Rose Garden Arena, just had to walk a couple blocks. It was also nice that the hotel offered their own parking. It is always hard to stay at hotels that don't offer parking or won't pay for it specially in Portland. We were a walk away from the Steel Bridge and Chinatown. Also it was nice to be able to take a stroll and end up in downtown. Overall it was a enjoyable stay and the staff was super nice.

If they put you in a room that has stairs directly outside of the window, ask to be moved or you will get no sleep. The stairs are metal and they are very loud whenever people walk up and down them. We would have asked to move, but the hotel as full. Other than that the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We have stayed here before and never had any problems.

It served its purpose, which was someplace close to the convention center. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. My room didn't have central air and heat so I had to use the unit under the window which was a bit noisy. I don't think this was the hotel's fault but there was something wrong with the cable so the tv kept displaying an error message and the signal kept cutting in and out. Staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was better than I expected

first room i have been in that had no bath tub. bed was broken on right side. shower drain pluged . picked up phone book covered in dust.

Good value for the money. Very clean rooms, and nice staff members. Not a fancy resort or anything...but definitely does the trick for a night or two for a reasonable price and a good location. Will stay here again, next trip.

I thought this was supposed to be a 4 star hotel! Wow, was I surprised. The rooms had a terrible odor that stayed in our clothes even when we got home. The room was tiny as well as the bathroom. The staff was good and the cookies at night were great, but when asked if they had a guest laundry, they said we could go next door to the Marriott. Now THAT is a nice hotel! Soooo much better in appearance and facilities. We will definitely go there next time! The good thing is free parking at La Quinta. But for the same or little difference in money, go to the Marriott!

Visiting a friend for a quiet get together.

The heating system was blowing cool air instead of warm air even when the thermostate was set at around 85degrees. The staff couldn't figure out the problem and I had to change rooms thrice. The 1st time was because the room was shabby and the carpet stank and the next room was in a better shape and well maintained except for the heating system. The sink was located outside the bathroom in a tiny corner with very little counter space. Not very ideal for more than a couple of days. Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay. The 3rd room made the difference - the sink was located inside the bathroom and was recently upgraded and made my stay much more comfortable.
