Portland North Motel 6 offers 24-hour front desk service, facilities for persons with disabilities, and complimentary coffee. For a nominal charge fax services are available. Snack, beverage and ice centers are available. We offer several room types including rooms with one or two beds. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, a coin laundry facility, free HBO and ESPN, and micro-fridges in all guest rooms at no cost. Free high speed wireless internet in select rooms.

Could use some refurbishing.

Room was very average but what I expected for the price and location. However the matress needed replacing. It sagged so badly I noticed it when I walked in the room. Even with the bedding on it. Made it through the night though, and I guess that is what I paid for. I have used Motel 6 many times and they were all better than this.

Great chinese food just down the block at Mar Meadows. Fantastic value.

good inexpensive place to stay

We picked this hotel due to needing an inexpensive place to stay while looking at colleges in the Portland area with our daughter. The room was small, but updated and clean. There is not much to do in this part of Portland, unlike many other neigborhoods there. In this location you are right off I-5 near Vancouver Washington and that part of I-5 is usually very slow moving, so getting downtown can take longer than expected, unless you take alternate routes. There were not a lot of amenities with the room and the hot tub closed at 9:00. The staff was friendly and helpful. The towels are not worth stealing!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

check out the different neighborhoods that make Portland such a fun city. Hawthorne/ SE Portland, the Pearl District, NW Portland, and downtown each have great places to eat and play! It is fairly easy to learn to use the MAX and streetcars to get around.

Clean, friendly and simple

We just needed a place that was inexpensive. This was the nicest Motel 6 we've stayed at. It was updated and clean. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Coffee service was sadly lacking. They only have it in the lobby and use cheap cups and products. But overall it was a nice stay.
