Good base, near airport
The free hotel shuttle makes it easy to get to and from the airport. The staff were very accomodating about an early check-in. The room was clean, and mine had a large tree right outside the window, which was very nice. The hotel is close to the number 12 bus, which runs frequently, and takes you straight into the heart of Portland. Free wifi in the room was great!

Flushed my Money
Room Dirty Trash Truck Noise at 2:30am
Room was very small and dirty, there were dust streamers hanging from the ceiling over the bed. I suspect it is from the air conditioner so I can only imagine that they never clean the filter on the air conditioner either. I asked room service to please clean the dust streamers from the ceiling when we were leaving for the day. The breakfast had what tasted like day old pastries and no covers for the coffee cups. When we returned that night the dust streamers were still there so I cleaned them myself. We checked out the next morning forfeiting 5 nights. Attached is a picture of the bed when we first arrived note the pillows they were the size of muffins and collapsed flat to the mattress when you put your head on them.

Not bad
The staff were polite and attentive. Housekeeping did a good job. "High speed Internet" was not exactly high speed and went out a lot. My nonsmoking room stunk of old cigarette smoke. While the staff offered to move me, I chose not to move, as I didn't feel like packing everything up and moving again. The airport is less than ten minutes away. While I wasn't sure about the neighborhood, it was fairly quiet at night. For the money, it was a bargain.

last minute desicion
inside the building it smelled really bad and the room we stayed in the micrwave had food slattered all over it as if no one had touched it since the last person that stayed in the room and the coffee maker was the same way never cleaned since it was put in the room. our bed was caved in in the middle like it was jumped on and the toilet seat was falling apart.
