Moving trip

The wife and I came to Portland to see if it would be a good place to live. Not knowing the area, I really just picked a hotel that I thought was a pretty good deal and wasn't terrible looking. Hotel deluxe really complimented the portland experience for us. The atmosphere was like an old theatre/movie star but still pretty modern. Service was excellent, didn't have any problems at all during our stay. The in-house restaurant, Gracie's, is SUPER AWESOME. Now that we live in Portland, the wife and I visit for date nights.

Friday night stay at the DeLuxe

My friend and I arrived at the hotel deluxe four hours before our scheduled check in. They happily granted us early check in. Our room was small but it is a boutique hotel after all. The staff was always anxious to help in any way possible. Clean and comfortable at the least. A grand way to spend a night in a beautiful city.

Cute, boutique hotel!

Charming hotel with an old Hollywood theme. Check in was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful! Rooms and bathrooms are small but as a historic building, it's very clean and comfortable. The bar is also awesome with great cocktails and is very small and intimate.

Portland Wedding

In Portland for the first time to attend a wedding. Chose the Deluxe based on customer ratings and they were on target. The location is great-a few short walkable blocks from city center. The facilities were comfortable and elegant but not stuffy. The staff was wonderful. Public transportation stops were nearby which helped us see the sights and get back and forth to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect stay!

This hotel has it all! The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable . They told us which local restaurants were worth checking out and went the extra mile in every way . The driftwood room lounge has great cocktails with a old Hollywood feel . For breakfast we ate at Gracie's and the food was wonderful! We have stayed at the deluxe 4 times now and will definitely return.

Convenient and classy hotel

Attentive and friendly staff, location is close enough to downtown to be convenient, but not too close so it is quieter. Rooms are on the smaller side but very clean and comfortable--everything is designed to maximize space.

Relaxing respite in a whirlwind visit

This hotel was within walking distance of our daughter's apartment, a lightrail to the airport and the wonderful 23rd Ave and downtown, yet the area was quiet. The bath was comfortable for a soak not just a container for the shower. The staff was great, helpful and quick to respond when one of our lamps had no bulb. We enjoyed the movie themed decor. The robes were a nice touch but I could have used a lower hook on the bathroom door to hang it on. My one concern: Our bathroom window was hard to open and had to be supported to stay open, yet it was the only way to let moisture out of the room. I told the staff as we left so I don't know how quickly they could fix it.
