Business -Pleasure Trip

The hotel has great location in downtown. However the room was postage stamp size. The bathroom half a postage stamp. The bathroom had a protruding post that would not fit an average size man. The reception staff was cordial but welcoming and informative.

Great Location, nice little boutique hotel.

Walking distance from Powell's books, dance clubs, shopping, parks. Good tapas style food in restaurant. The rooms were were clean and the bed was comfortable, although they were of average size. I would definitely stay there again.

Two words. Powell's books. Best bookstore on the west coast, a full city block. A must see.

Nice downtown boutique hotel

Tastefully decorated and very inviting lobby area. My room was also nicely done. Hotel is centrally located and within three blocks of the MAX red line train that serves the airport. My only criticism is that the bathroom sink was too small. The rooms are compact, but still very comfortable.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If you don't have a lot of luggage, take the MAX train from the airport to Pioneer Square - a 40-minute ride. It's only $2.40 and a 3-block walk to the hotel. The cab fare is well over $30.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Portland City Grill has an extended happy hour on Sunday night. Great specials on cocktails and small plates. The view of Portland at night was amazing. The Grill is located on the 30th floor. Since we were staying at Hotel Lucia it was a short walk for us.

Noisy!

Though the bed was extremely comfortable, the water pipes were incredibly noisy and kept us up all night. every time another room flushed the toilet it was heard by all. with a price tag like $200 a night it should be silent.

Hotel Lucia Portland

helpful, friendly staff, but did not seem the most knowledgeable about local information. Great location close to all core downtown amenities and restaurants. Clean, tidy room, but on the small side. Good for a quick business stay...good value.

If you're going to be in Portland itself, you definitely don't need a car. The red line train will take you from the airport to within two blocks of Hotel Lucia. Transportation within the city is extraordinary.

Nice hotel in the heart of everything but too much street noise in the room. I was on the second floor.
