Hotel Lucia Portland

helpful, friendly staff, but did not seem the most knowledgeable about local information. Great location close to all core downtown amenities and restaurants. Clean, tidy room, but on the small side. Good for a quick business stay...good value.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you're going to be in Portland itself, you definitely don't need a car. The red line train will take you from the airport to within two blocks of Hotel Lucia. Transportation within the city is extraordinary.

Mini vacation

Hotel Lucia is located in the ideal area for shopping and dining. The staff is super helpful and friendly! The bar attached has great drinks for a reasonable price, but closes early on the weekdays. The rooms are better on the less busy side of the street. Also, the double rooms are a bit more cozy and spacious. I spent my first time at the hotel in a room that was a double, on one of the top floors, as well as not being on the street side...this made my first stay amazing and that is why I came back 3 months later. I raved about how comfy the beds were, but this second time didn't live up to expectations. Great hotel and staff! Just mention to be placed somewhere quieter and possibly request a double room for more space.

Screen door is hands down one of the BEST places for fried chicken!!! The Mac n cheese is also to die for as well as the jambalaya and rice and beans. The corn bread could be better and more moist though. It's a wait, but well worth it. Typically, it's going to be a wait even on the weekdays, but it's the place to eat!

Portland Pre-Xmas Getaway

This was our second stay at the fantasic Lucia and we will be back. The location is excellent. You do not need a car as it is in walking distance of everything downtown, the waterfront, and the MAX is right there if you need it. Blue Star Shuttle will drop you at the doorstep from the airport. The staff is fantastic. The lobby sleek and beautiful. The rooms quiet and comfortable. The bar/restaurant downstairs is wonderful to sit and enjoy a cocktail. I am not a fan of the spray shampoo they offer, so bring your own or Rite aid is 2 blocks down. There are restaurants of all kinds nearby and a bakery around the corner. My beaux gets his haircut (and a beer) at the cool Barbershop next door. A wonderful stay any time of year.

Thanksgiving treat

Great room rates over the Thanksgiving weekend. The entire staff, from desk personnel to the valet guys, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The holiday parade went by the front of the hotel. I had an interior courtyard room which was silent without a bit of street noise. The room size was adequate but not more, with a large, spacious bathroom.

Couldn't have been better!

A small room is fine when you have a bed like that. Softest. Mattress. Ever. What a wonder. And those pillows! As we were in and out of the room most of the weekend anyways, the small room didn't really bother us. Definitely planning on going back!

Great location to walk in Portland

Hotel Lucia is an excellent hotel that is walking distance to everything you will need on your trip. The pearl district has it all. The rooms are nice and clean but really small. That is my only complaint though. Pros: Hotel Bar Free Wifi Great Walkscore Cons: Small rooms Parking is extra
