Bummer
I found this hotel to be a very unsatisying experience. I had a short stay, 10pm-5am and could hardly sleep due to an excessively noisy outdated air conditioner. The mattress was saggy and soft so I left feeling less than rested to start my all day flying. I would not recommend this hotel.

Close but that's about it.
The hotel is about 5 minutes from the airport, which is nice for an early morning flight but I wouldn't stay here if I was touring/visiting Portland.

Short drive from hotel
Definitely go see Multnomah Falls, the Vista House, and Bridal Veil Falls. They are all close to each other, about 20 minutes from the hotel.

Business trip to the Portland, Vancuver
I review land and properties in the area, went to several local Portland know eating establishes. But...I must say the best breakfast I had was at the hotel's own cafe. I had pancakes and bacon and eggs. THE PANCAKES WERE THE BEST I HAVE EVER EATEN. THEY WERE LARGE PANCAKES, WARM AS COULD BE SERVED ON A WARM PLAT TO KEEP THEM THAT WAY, SERVED HOT MAPLE SYRUP. GREAT SERVICE. mY ROOM WAS ON THE SEVENTH FLOOR WITH A LARGE PICTURE WINDOW FACING SOUTH. IN THE MORNINGS I HAD A MOST GLORIOUS VIEW OF MT. HOOD. BEAUTIFUL!!! THE STAFF WAS WILLING AND READY TO SERVE AND BE OF HELP, FROM THE FRONT OFFICE TO THE STAFF THAT DROVE THE SUTTLE BUS TO AND FROM THE AIR PORT. I WOULD GLADY STAY A MONTH AT THAT HOTEL AND ENJOY EACH DAY AND EVERY NIGHT OF GOOD SOUND SLEEPL

Where's that restaurant again?
Super convenient location
Great. In minutes of everything I needed to do, visit friends, eat, do chores, eat, find the greatest shops, eat. The staff is the bomb! So helpful, don't mind answering the same questions over and over (how do I get to here)? Restaurant on site, the whole deal!

Short stop after long flight
Rooms clean . Elevators need cleaning. Staff friendly . It Was ok. It had a nice pool area.

2 miles from airport. There is a beautiful catholic meditation park called the Grotto about 2miles away. What a surprise it was to go to church there. Just gorgeous!

Very pleasant, helpful staff. Very nice to be so close to the airport. Great beer selection at the bar, excellent food, room clean, no complaints!

Holiday Inn airport Portland, Or.
The overall appearance of the hotel was ok...nothing special. The hallway carpets I thought were filty as were the carpeting in the room. The bathroom was clean and mold-free but the faucet was almost impossible to turn...needed to be replaced. The glasses supplied looked dirty or worse already used??? The bed was very comfortable but I have my doubts that the sheets were clean and fresh...found hair on the pillows...The view stunk...nice parking lot for the convention center. The room in my opinon needs lost of improvements..it just was not to my liking. Only one suitcase rack other suitcase had to remain on the floor. The food was just awful...beef was very tough (kabobs). Variety was that of a sportsbar. Last night there had chicken Ceasar salad and the chicken slab (I could not identify this slab of meat as chicken except it was white with grill marks and raw on the inside... My overall opinion is this was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced and I would NOT stay here again nor recommend it.

Stay away from the food at this hotel. Instead opt for quick food at Cascade station (shopping area) by the airport. Even if you eat at Red Robin...you will have better food.
