Cheap hotel and service

One of our group had a ground floor room that offered a coffee pot in the room. Rooms on the upper floors do not come equipped with a coffee pot. The continental breakfast consisted of toast, donuts, apples, oranges, coffee and orange juice. Noise from the room above and beside was disruptive to our sleep. The hottub/pool was out of order. The beds are firm. The hot water ran out at 7am one morning. While the location was convenient to the venue we attended and there's an Elmer's a few blocks away, we will stay somewhere else next year.

Weekend getaway

We requested a smoke free room- the room smelled like stale cigarettes. Bed was really uncomfortable. We were also not in the best area of town.

hotel not to stay at

We booked a non-smoking room, and the room we got stunk terrible of cigarettes, the promised iron was not there, nor the safe, nor the coffee maker. The bathroom fixtures were so rusty you could not hang your towel over the shower bar. The toilet seat was falling off and you had to balance yourself so you wouldn't fall off. But, the sheets were changed every day, and towels replaced. The hotel staff made it as clean as they could with all the problems though and it was very quiet in the area which was nice. The screen on the window was hanging off but at least the window opened. We would definitely not stay there again. Also, when you advertise "continental breakfast", please have more to choose from than day old donuts.

Not Bad for Economy

Not bad for basic accommodation. Excellent location being close to the airport and right across the street from a light rail station. Continental breakfast was simple but adequate. Room had a microwave and small fridge. Only real drawback were the small, threadbare towels. They wrote the name of the hotel on them in black marker. Not sure why they bother. No one would want to take them unless they needed rags to wash their car.

The price was good. But I was not thrilled that our non-smoking room, reaked of smoke.
