No better hotel, review from experienced traveler
I travel A LOT and realy pay attention to detail. I expect things to be clean and I also expect excellent customer service. I had a really comofrtable stay while I was at CP. I was attending a show at the convention center and it was a quick 5 min walk (do not let anyone convince you that you need a shuttle or cab). You'll kick yourself later. Its also right near the train that goes everywhere. You're right smack near the mall (great for tax-free Made in Portland shopping), Chinatown, and the very awesome Saturday Market. They also provided free transport all over town! Couldn't have been better. Also, great pool.

Best sit down (need reservations): Le Pigeon Best seafood (super super affordable): Dan & Louis Oyster Bar (get the marionberry pie and salmon chowder) Best dessert: Voodoo Donut (up the block from Oyster Bar) Tao Tea: tea house and botanical garden right in the heart of Chinatown Do not miss Saturday Market by the water. Local goods and amazing prices

Perfect experience
Room was very clean, staff was ridiculously nice and helpful. Perfect walk to the Rose Garden, had a great view of the city on the 6th floor. Great bar atmosphere and good breakfast the next morning. Only wish it was a little but cheaper so we could stay there all the time.

Slightly above average...
My wife and I drove the 4 hours of so North to Portland. Being it was our first overnight trip there, we decided to stay at the Crowne Plaza to celebrate. We booked the King Executive room, directly next door to the Presidential Suite. The room was small, with no mini-bar. One mirror less and it would have been a Motel 6. At $200 per night, it was a great disappointment. Good luck if you decide to stay there...
