Portland getaway

Hotel is in a great location. The hotel is within walking distance to several good restaurants and only two blocks from the Portland MAX which provides access to downtown Portland. Underground parking is tight, but adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast bar was a good value. I would stay here again when traveling in the area.

Sloppy

I booked a parking lot spot at 15 $ a night. I went out to dinner. When I came back there was no spot left. Hotel explained it was a "first come first served" service, but they were sorry the parking lot notice they handed me didn´t state it clearly because they only had bad photocopies of the original notice. I have the copy with me, of course On leaving, they unduly tried to charge me 22$: The hotel gave me 2 complimentary tickets of 11$ each on arrival. I asked the person attending the breakfast buffet if I should give the tickets to him or to the front desk, and he answered "You give them to me, please", so I did. 90 minutes later the front desk had the breakfast note but not the tickets and so they tried to charge me the whole amount. I complained and the person at the reception issued 2 extra tickets of 11 $. I pointed to him THERE WERE ALREADY 2 TICKETS SOMEWHERE IN THE KITCHEN. What was the idea? Replace cash with the initial 2 tickets? LOUSY AND SLOPPY HOTEL INDEED

Convenient and Comfortable.

Very convenient - just a few blocks - to multiple lines for the MAX light rail which we took to the airport and to visit family in SW Portland. Room was quiet and comfortable. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet (including hot foods) was included with our reservation and was delicious!

Good value

Decent location. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. We found lots of on street meter (up to 5 hours and free overnight) parking immediately outside the hotel so probably no need to pay to park at the hotel. Only complaint is that the heater in our room was very noisy and constantly cycled on and off all night.

Not my best experiencw

Unfortunatly the hotel was under construction, which would have been good information to have ahead of time. That way one could make an informed decision on whether to choose this hotel or not. The head board fell off the wall at 1:15am and the hotel was less than sympathetic about it. Needless to say the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be staying there again.
