Great for an airport hotel
For this trip, I was in Oregon for less than 48 hours, so the location near the airport was convenient. The whole area around the airport is nothing special (just a lot of hotels, fast food joints, and a mall), but surprisingly clean and safe.

Good bed and breakfast
The planes start flying overhead at 6am, but what else can you expect at an airport. Super convenient to 205 and Vancouver. Nice hot breakfast (for free).

marriot quality but bring earplugs!
I've stayed all over the US and any hotel by Marriot is quality. The only downside to this location was the noise due to its proximity to the airport. I put in earplugs (which I always bring when traveling) and it was fine.

very accommodating
I have stayed in Courtyard hotels before, and this one is very close to the airport, so it's convenient if you need to fly in and out of PDX quickly, however, if you want to enjoy Portland, it's too far from downtown. The staff was very accommodating, allowing us to have a late checkout with no problem, giving us a wine opener to open a bottle of wine with, and also helpful with directions. We did not use the dining facilities, so I can't comment on that. The price for the hotel was fair.
