poor customer service

We stayed two nights, the first night a wasp was in the bathroom, we called front desk and a guy came in, he killed the wasp using my tour brochure that I have left inside the bathroom, how inconsiderate! He didn't come prepare and used a guest's item. Poor service. The next morning we left the room before 8am and did not come back until 2:50 pm. We arrived in the room and found it as we left it: beds unmade, towels on the floor to be replaced, nothing was made!. We called the front desk and we were given a poor excuse "they usually clean the rooms that check out first". Huh? so if we stay for a week we expect a dirty room each day? That doesn' t make any sense. Anyways, we waited in the lobby, no complimentary coffeer or tea for our wait, nothing! We had to wait without an apology or anything. Poor service again. The value of the hotel is not worth the hotel. Carpets are dirty, old furniture and smelly cushions in the lobby as well as in the bedroom. Location was decent, walking distance to most restaurants, the pearl district, Powells book store, etc. The parking at the hotel not worth $33 when you can park next door for $20 and is as safe and close. We do not recommend this hotel for its value. It doesn't offer what you would expect.

Classic hotel, great location

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days while in town for a convention. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were clean and fairly updated. Nice central location, parking nearby . Just a few blocks away from legendary coffee and Voodoo donuts.

Great Romantic Spot

Bed was super comfortable, room was very clean. Bathroom was spotless. Air conditioning worked excellently. Just a little noise from the street, but it's in downtown, what can you expect. Great location downtown. Overall it was a great place for a romantic getaway.

Nice hotel in old bulilding

I liked my stay. Everything was good, except for a slight odor in the bathroom. The rest of the room (bed, carpet) was well cleaned. The location is central, and I was able to find street parking because my stay was during a holiday. Otherwise, garage or hotel valet parking costs about $25-$30 per day.
