Better Than We Expected
For the price, this was a great value. Our King bed room was very spacious-- much more than comparable hotels. The updated furnishings and new carpet gave a very comfortable and clean impression. It was a bit odd not having a flat screen TV, but maybe that's next on their list of improvements. The bathroom was spacious as well, with better linens than I expected. The hotel is intent on being "green", so you can feel good about that. They also seem to take pride in having everything sanitized for your health consideration, i.e. the remote to the TV has a little box it sits in to let you know it's been cleaned! The lobby was very "mid century" with white granite floors and modern furnishings; the staff were all helpful and pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was all we could have asked for, considering the dining area is a bit small and of course, very popular in the morning! All in all, I would recommend this hotel, and we would stay again if we get down to the Portland area again.

Room was fine, internet was a joke
Pros: The room was clean and nicely appointed. The full breakfast of eggs, potatoes, toast, ham or sausage, cereal was all you could eat and tasty. Cons: The "high speed internet" was a joke. At any peak use time, such as in the morning, it was sooo slow, sometimes too slow to even check email or load up a homepage. In the afternoon, when there were probably fewer people using it, it improved to mediocre. If you need to do more than just check email, this isn't the hotel for you. Also, the water in the shower was not quite hot enough at best, and downright tepid at worst. The location was both good and bad. Good for quickly getting to destinations, but the actual neighborhood was a little questionable.

Conference trip.
The staff was great, check-in and check-out were a breeze. They made recommendations for where to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Didn't even realize we were so close to the airport until we left and saw planes flying overhead. Great experience.

Great access to all Portland Attractions.
Staff really helpful, bed really comfortable. Location is very handy, near the main routes in all directions. Generous breakfast maybe needs a slightly larger area to accomodate this. If you could add one thing it would be a fitness center/ exercise room.

Great stay
11 other ladies and I reserved 3 rooms for the weekend and we were all very pleased with our stay. We especially enjoyed the full breakfast every morning. It gave us a great start to our busy days. I called a few weeks ahead of our arrival and asked for our rooms to be all together and they were-so nice to be able to float back and forth between the rooms. I also called another time to see about the parking situation and for information on riding the MAX. Both staff members I talked to were very friendly and helpful.

Short drive from hotel
There's a nice BJ's restaurant back down I-5 (South) a short ways as well as a Sherry's and an Elmer's close by the hotel, as well as several smaller "to-go" type restaurants.
