Great view of the river
Overall this is a very nice hotel, but I feel it is somewhat overpriced especially if you are in a room facing the office building. Breakfast consists of Yo-plait yogurt, cereal and scones, which can get old after a few days and I have a challenge with a hotel that is located where you must drive to get food after 10pm, but charges you $20 a night for parking.

The hotel was great, however had I known there was an additional overnight parking fee of $19, I probably would have chosen a different hotel. The fee was totally outrageous considering it was not mentioned in the hotel promotion and overly excessive. for the location.

Enjoyable stay
My husband and I have stayed at the Avalon before and on every occasion have enjoyed ourselves. At first they put us in the wrong room but upon discovery they immediately moved us and sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. We will continue to return to Avalon.

This is just, well, a great place!
Ok, first of all, I just want to say that I was so wowed by the room, I literally was in awe of the bathroom and wonderful view, including the oh so perfectly comfortable bed. My goodness the bed was wonderful I am getting one for my house, anyway in addition to that it is like a mini spa in your bathroom, I mean the wonderful set up they have and everything is very nice. All of the extras you can order to! It was amazing. The only thing on the other end of amazing I can say, is well, guys time to upgrade to flat screens in the already perfect room with view and balcony!

This was the worst hotel I ever have stayed at
The hotel was not very accomodating, The room had ants, and the spa closes at 9:00 PM. I finally got to go to the spa in the morning very disappointed, it was unclean, had ants, and the steam room was not working. I will be calling you about a refund.

Good value, nice experience
We stayed at the Avalon for 4 nights in October 2011. Overall we are happy with everything; great service, nice staff, and the restaurant Aquavina next door is excellent. The gym in the hotel is huge - the largest hotel gym I've seen, and there's a spa as well (which we did not use). There's no restaurant in the actual hotel; they set up a good continental breakfast every morning on each floor. The ONE negative comment I have to make, is the unfortunate result of new construction: thin walls between the rooms. It's not cool to be able to listen to to your neighbors next door and hear every word they say.

About 30 feet walk to Aquavina, a very nice restaurant with a killer Pepper Martini. You have to try it; it's delicious.
