The staff are great, remember my name, and are quick to take care of anything I ask for. Just recently the empty room adjacent to the room I was in had an AC issue. The noise was loud. I called to see what could be done and they quickly turned it
off. Small thing, but the devil is in the details.
Upon arrival, I was left standing at the counter waiting to be checked in. After several minutes of hearing the staff talking and joking around in the back office I said, "Hello, anyone here." Someone then came out and said they would be right
with me. After about 5 more minutes of banter and joking in the back office someone finally came and checked me in.
The hotel was undoubtedly nice when it was built or last remodeled but it has been a while and it's somewhat run down at this point. Only about 30 cable channels to view.
We got our room at a good rate for the Round-Up. The hotel sits out of town so you’re away from any rowdy crowds. They do offer a shuttle to the Round-Up until midnight each night. Our room key didn’t work when we first tried it and had to go back
to the front desk, instead of offering to assist us, they gave us card reader cleaner to do ourselves. We felt this could us improvement as there was no one else checking-in and there were multiple front desk people. We felt the room could be cleaned better; there were cobwebs along the old baseboard heater and up the wall.
Amazing view from our room. Large balcony. But no chairs or table on the balcony. We'd have loved spending more time outside.
The window screen was broken and the window didn't open enough to get air in the room. The heat lamp switch in the
bathroom was out of order (luckily we didn't need it).
If we had known we'd have asked a room on the top floor. We recommend that people request a room on the view side.
I am in Pendleton once or twice a year & this is where I prefer to stay. It's easy to get to, right off of I84. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Good staff for the most part and a great view. The restaurant isn't bad & there is a Share's just
across the way.
While some of the aminaties could stand to be updated the overall facilities are well maintened
Avoid This Hotel At all Cost! Find another place to stay
First off we got into our hotel to find a dirty used towel on the floor and two USED acne stridex pads in our Ice Bucket.... GROSS!
Second, the room was only suppose to be 96.00 dollars, but my bank account was charged 400 dollars!!!! That's
right FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS x_X. I used a debit card so they charged an extra temporary 50 dollars. Which is fine, but the only problem was that they charged my bank account twice, two separate charges for 146.00 dollars. (total around 300$)
Third, I checked in with pets and the staff never said anything about having dogs or it being extra. However, 2 days later I saw another charge for a 100 dollar pet cleaning fee. I never signed any thing about not having pets in the room or was never told by the staff that I couldn't have pets. I called to see what this was about and apparently they issued us a non pet room and the 100 dollars was the fee to clean the room(which was disgusting when we first go there any way).
This hotel was the worse one I have ever stayed in and I'm in the military, so I travel ALOT. Please save yourself and your bank account by passing this hotel up. I was refunded the second charge of 146.00, but the hotel fee still came to about 250.00 dollars.
A comfortable property, but showing signs of wear. Rooms were clean and spacious, but not worth the price charged. The front desk staff friendly, but rather slow. Unlike other area properties, the Red Lion charges, a nominal fee, for breakfast
further limiting the cost-value ratio of the property. In addition, I requested two queen beds, but was initially told that the room I reserved had only one queen bed. To accommodate my request the front desk charged me an additional $20.00 upgrade fee.
