Down home hospitality gives you a glimpse of why everyday on the Oregon coast is welcome and brings you many memories to cherish. Your stay at the Embarcadero will further enhance your experience since each condominium offers a panoramic view of the Yaquina Bay and Bridge. Guests can enjoy spectacular sunsets, miles of explorable beaches and sea lions barking down at the resort dock. When you do wander off, there are many attractions, including aquariums, lighthouses, whale watching, hiking, flying kites from the beach, cycling, bird watching, windsurfing and more. A week will not do it- you will be back for storm watching in the winter by a roaring fire, or the -second summer- of fall with -glowing sands- that are indescribable. Okay place to stay

Hotel was very dated. Pool was closed second day we were there. Location is amazing, but for the price, I would have expected the room to be better. Very dated and had cobwebs in the ceiling.

Relaxed Retreat

Our check-in went smoothly and simply. Everything was in order when we got to the room, though it wasn't exactly the room we had expected. All things considered, the room was outstanding for one of the lower end budget options. There were great details in the decorations and it felt more like a home than a hotel. At the end of the trip we notified the attendant of the room mix up and were surprised to find the price had been adjusted already. The attendant still offered to provide a discount though! Our stay was great and I'd highly recommend the Embarcadero.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Head north on Highway 101 to visit towns like Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. Along the way be sure to visit Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Devil's Punchbowl, Otter crest loop and the other state parks.

Started bad but turned out wonderful!

When we first arrived we were in an average room with a queen bed, but good view of Yaquina Bay. My husband had been working and needed a shower but there was no hot water when he went to take his shower and the toilet didn't flush. Then I tried the DVD player and it wouldn't work. That's three srikes. But when we called the front desk they offered us a new room close by and it turned out to have a king bed, full kitchen and fantastic view of the harbor. We were very happy until the DVD player didn't work in this room either and had no remote. When we called the front desk they promptly sent someone to fix it and found us a remote. Then when we went to pay the bill on leaving they had given us a considerable discount. We were and are very happy with our experience at the Embarcadero Motel in Newport, Or on Yaquina Bay.
