Not a Good Experience
Upon arriving we were assured the room had a great view and was in a quiet area of the hotel so that it would be peaceful. Wow, was that a stretch. First of all the hotel was nearly empty but we were placed in a room in a section where it appeared they were squeezing all the guests into. It was noisy, with screaming kids and teenagers. People stomping through every five minutes to take their dogs out to do their business. Our room decor was outdated and the walls had water damage stains. The front door was filthy, I used gloves when touching it. The heater in the room was broken and had apparently been reported previously but remained unfixed until we complained. Even when it was repaired, 45 minutes later, it was insufficient for the room size and we spent most of the evening struggling to get warm and stay warm under the thin blankets provided on the two beds. We combined both sets of covers on one bed just trying to get warm. There is a cafe (ho-hum not great) in the motel like section of the hotel where we were stuck, but a nicer restaurant in the hotel style section (access from interior vs exterior, private balconies vs NOT) and what appeared to be better quality area of the establishment. Even though were informed upon arrival of the Sunday Brunch availability in the restaurant or the simple breakfast options in the Cafe, we found the restaurant locked up tight and dark on Sunday morning. Seems they didn't find it necessary to provide a higher quality offering to the guests they had. Bottom line, a lesson learned I guess. You get what you pay for and discount rooms mean discount quality. It was NOT a good experience.

Wonderful view!
Every room has a wonderful view of a sandy beach and the beautiful Oregon coast. Our family of six reserved 2 rooms for our drive down the coast. We were extremely pleased with the location of this Inn. Make sure you check the room first. One of our rooms had a film over the window that made it almost impossible to see through. The clerk wasn't interested in my complaint as it was their only available handicap room.

Excellent View
We reserved two rooms for our travels down the coast. The view of the wonderful Oregon beach was excellent. We may be back in the warmer weather to take advantage of the nice beach. Though the woman at the desk was very nice, the check-in process took a really long time, even though I had reserved the rooms more than a week before. Also, make sure you check your room before you accept it. One of our rooms had some film over the window that made it almost impossible to see through. When I complained about it, the desk clerk didn't seem to care and offered no alternative or compensation.

Beachy New Year
We walked in at 3:58pm (check-in begins @ 4pm) and had a 20 minute wait only because there were 8 people ahead of us. Room was clean, lovely view of beach. Had dog with us; lots of other dog families nearby; just remember that you might hear other excited dogs throughout the day/night. Crab cakes at restaurant were heavenly; not full of crumb filler.

Disappointed
The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to the ocean, aquarium, Yaquina bay lighthouse etc. But unfortunately, other than that they dont have anything going for them. The building is really old and the room that we stayed in (BldgB) smelled terribly of the chemical used for "deodorizing" the room. After spending half an hour in the room, it got really suffocating. We asked for a different room, but the lady at the front desk did not even bother to ask what problem we were having. Al she said was no rooms available currently, check in with us in the morning (when she will probably be off the shift). We finally left the windows of the room open for the night. It was good to hear the sea at night, and the fresh air from the sea cleared up the stale air in the room - only to be "deodorized" by the cleaning staff in the morning....:( siggghhhh..
