not at all what we expected !
One of the queen beds had stain on it, we asked for room service and they didn't even change the bedding. The room smelled real stale. Price was the same as the nicer rooms we have stayed in but this room had rust on door hindges. Very few TV channels and no A/C. When we told staff about experience they asked if we had breakfast yet when we were checking out, we had not so they gave us 3$ of for both of us which equaled out to about tip. Plus we were in area A where they allow dogs who woke us up with barking . Would not recomend ! last time we stayed same month last year we paid same price and had king suite, beautiful view. Could have saved a lot of money and had better accomidations at motel 6 !

Great view..great location...clean rooms..extremely helpfull staff.TV is somewhat outdated and refridgerators are set to about 45-50 degrees. Not ideal storage for perishable food.Pools are on the small side but functionable.Otherwise definately worth the money for a beach-view room.

Right on the beach forgives a lot of so so with the property. Bed was ok. Towels were like tissue paper. BUT we could step out our door onto the beach so for a quick overnight it was great. I would not stay here for more than 1 night or 2. Front desk clerk was slower than molasses in january going up hill in a snowstorm but again, for $100 on the beach what do you expect?

Great view.
Our room had a great view of the ocean. My daughter loved waking up and running to the window to look at the ocean. There was not a continental breakfast, but they had a small cafe on sight for breakfast or lunch. We had breakfast there and it was average nothing that stood out.

Overrated on the "newly remodeled" comments
This hotel was listed as newley remodeled, so keep in mind the pics are very misleading as the rooms are dated for the price. There was no drink tickets offered, upon check in, but hotel staff was efficient and we didn't wait long. The view was spectacular of the beach and ocean, even though quite a hike. Regarding future visits, we certainly will look elsewhere for the price we paid.

Beautiful ocean view
We hadn't expected the room to be as large and comfortable as it was, based on other reviews. The ocean view was perfect. We were right on the beach and within easy walking distance to Nye Beach shops. We have avoided this hotel chain in the past because we thought it was too downscale. This particular one was a pleasant surprise, especially considering how little we paid to stay on a holiday weekend.

Weekend get a way
The check in desk was very hospitable even when approached by obnoxious guests. The walls were thin and being woke up early by a loud adult in the next room was not inviting, but that is to be expected. The view was breath taking.

Not a Good Experience
Upon arriving we were assured the room had a great view and was in a quiet area of the hotel so that it would be peaceful. Wow, was that a stretch. First of all the hotel was nearly empty but we were placed in a room in a section where it appeared they were squeezing all the guests into. It was noisy, with screaming kids and teenagers. People stomping through every five minutes to take their dogs out to do their business. Our room decor was outdated and the walls had water damage stains. The front door was filthy, I used gloves when touching it. The heater in the room was broken and had apparently been reported previously but remained unfixed until we complained. Even when it was repaired, 45 minutes later, it was insufficient for the room size and we spent most of the evening struggling to get warm and stay warm under the thin blankets provided on the two beds. We combined both sets of covers on one bed just trying to get warm. There is a cafe (ho-hum not great) in the motel like section of the hotel where we were stuck, but a nicer restaurant in the hotel style section (access from interior vs exterior, private balconies vs NOT) and what appeared to be better quality area of the establishment. Even though were informed upon arrival of the Sunday Brunch availability in the restaurant or the simple breakfast options in the Cafe, we found the restaurant locked up tight and dark on Sunday morning. Seems they didn't find it necessary to provide a higher quality offering to the guests they had. Bottom line, a lesson learned I guess. You get what you pay for and discount rooms mean discount quality. It was NOT a good experience.
