Great Vacation!!
Whil we were in Newport, we went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, undersea gardens, Ripleys and the Wax works! We only stayed the weekend but the whole experience was a great family treat! The hotel was fabulous! The people were so nice and the pool was amazing! I have not stayed in a cleaner hotel! Very kid friendly. The breakfast was a bit different tasting but was nice all the same. We will definetly be returning!

The Oregon Coast Aquarium was awesome!! Great fun for the whole family! I will be returning with mine many more times!

Not happy at all
[...]When we got to the hotel it was no where near the ocean we could not see the ocean and we had 2 queen beds. I was already dissappointed right away. Pretty much was dissappointed over this the whole trip, drove by the Whaler and it sat right across the street from the ocean, though it was not new it had fireplaces in every room or a wet bar, continental vreakfast, a pool and a spa. That is everything that the holiday inn express had but it had the ocean view, and a more romantic setting with fireplaces or the wet bar. I could not do anything at that point other than deal with the situation but really was a huge downer for the little romantic get away we were hoping on. My husband is disabled, he has Kidney failure and I am very sad that the trip that took me so long to save for was nothing that we had dreamed. I had told the guy on the phone that a short walk to the ocean would be ok as long as we were close and we were not. I really hope that we have another chance to take this trip again and hope nothing happens to my husband before we can. I am hurt that this happened to us [...].

Easy to find Comfortable Stay
I was in Newport for a quick weekend getaway. The Holiday Inn Express was very easy to find, very close to the Aquarium, and had ample parking for the hotel guests. The check in was very easy and my room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable.

Yaquina Beach just a short drive over the bridge and Agate beach is about a 15 min drive north from the hotel.

Great location, good price
This hotel is located just down the street from the Oregon Aquarium and Hatfield Science Center. It is also within walking distance of The Edge Art Gallery where you can watch glass blowing. The pool was indoors and really warm. The free breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Couldn't have picked a better place for our trip.

The Fishtail Cafe just across the street serves breakfast and lunch only. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly and quaint.

Just an overnight stay
this hotel was quiet and clean, beds firm and comfortable. the breakfast was good lots of room and selection. Location I would rate as fair and price was a little high.
