Cute and Clean... good breakfast...
C.Marla May 8, 2009
The hotel is clean, well decorated, beach views, and had a very very good free breakfast included. We didn't use the pool, ... but the option was a nice idea if we had more time. There is only one elevator, but since it wasn't crowded we didn't have to wait long... plus we have perfectly good legs so the stairs worked fine as well. Walked on the beach, walked to dinner, nice location. Only semi-downside is the toilet made loud funny noises when flushing but we didn't care...

Great view of Ocean
Vernon Jun 23, 2008
The room was very nice although not real large, with a great ocean and beach view from the room. The room had a gas ... fireplace, DVD player, Microwave and Fridge. They served delicious cookies at 8:00PM which was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly. I definitely plan to return.

Debbie May 7, 2008
The hotel has an ideal location next to Nye Beach & a fantastic oceanfront view. The beds were comfortable & furnishings ... adequate. It lacks the extra touches to make it a memorable experience. There was no AC in the room so we left the sliding door open all night. Our room was stuffy & this was the beginning of May. No bath robes were supplied in the room with queen beds. We were told only rooms with a king bed. The maid forgot our supply of coffee the 2nd day. When phoned in the AM, the hotel staff advised us to come down to get our coffee in the lobby. There's a refrig. & microwave in the room, but no supplies for eating or cooking. The lobby did have a continental breakfast in the AM & fresh baked cookies in the PM. Overall, I don't think I'll be back.

Yvette Apr 20, 2008
The Elizabeth Inn was the perfect choice for a 'girlfriend' getaway. We enjoyed our room, which has a light, modern, spacious ... feel, and each of us were very comfortable in in our queen sized beds being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the ocean everynight. The staff was cheerful, helpful and very upbeat. Fresh salmon chowder, great balanced breakfast, cookies, too..oh my! Always various pots of freshly brewed coffee, and hot water for teas..and the view of the ocean was spectacular!!! Clean, clean, clean.... I am going back with my husband in a few weeks for a romantic get away, and then we plan on bringing our grandkids in the summer for family time. So, perfect for everyone is an accurate term!

The Elizabeth St. Inn was very comfortable. The fireplace was nice and we had a great view. It was very clean and the ... staff was very friendly. Location was good. There was no pathway to the beach right at the hotel, but there is a very nice one just down the street. We especially liked the cookies every night. The continental breakfast wasn't the greatest, but was okay.

We LOVE this place!
Karen Mar 15, 2008
This is the best place to stay in the Newport area! The views are breathtaking. We love the cookies, chowder, and breakfast ... of scones/yogurt/boiled eggs. There's always something to eat in the lobby, and they have a great free tea selection, too. We made use of the DVD player in our room on this trip. We enjoyed the heated pool the last time we were there. There is a big upholstered chair right in front of the fireplace and sliding glass door. It's the perfect place to watch the sunset!

Wonderful views!

The Elizabeth Inn has individual balconies with fabulous ocean views. Balconies are screened from each other so you have nice ... privacy. Our room had a gas fireplace giving it a nice warm, cozy feeling on a blustery day. The continental breakfast was superior to most offering hard boiled eggs, scones, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice. I have seen many of these breakfasts that were mainly composed of heavily sugared breakfast breads. This was a nice change. The Inn is within walking distance of the Nye Beach area. Nye Beach has many fine restaurants, shopping and a handicapped beach access. One of our favorite restaurants in the area is Cafe Stefanie which offers delicious breakfasts and lunches. It is a tiny place that also offers carry out if you want to picnic on the beach one block away.

The Newport Performing Arts Center is just down the block. We have enjoyed several amateur productions here over the years. Do not expect professional theater, but do expect to enjoy some talented people and a friendly atmosphere!

Perfect location

Elizabeth Street Inn was a great location, right on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants and historic Nye ... Beach. The room was very comfortable with a sofa for relaxing, a fireplace, an outdoor deck for viewing the ocean and beach. We were able to keep our door open overnight to listen to the roar of the ocean waves. The room was nicely decorated and had comfortable beds. Hot cookies were available in the lobby in the evening and a continental breakfast was ready early in the morning.

Killer hotel
Christy May 24, 2007
The Elizabeth Street Inn has everything - and then just a little bit more. We joked that you could skip dining out completely ... -- breakfast buffet included healthy choices like yogurt, fruit and tasty scones, there was salmon chowder every day at 5pm, and hot fresh cookies every night at 8pm. The rooms all face the ocean, and standard equipment includes pillow-top mattresses, gas fireplaces, mini-fridges, microwaves, a living area with desk and fluffy towels. Communal The price was affordable. I was there for work, and appreciated tall the amenities, but it would make for a lovely R&R stay.
Traveler type: Business
The Inn is on the edge of the idiosyncratic Nye Beach area, with very accessible town beach, many fresh seafood restaurants, book and clothing stores (Toujours!), kite and gift shops. Newport is also home to the Mark Hatfield Marine Science Center, and the Aquarium. Rogue Brewery has tours, food, and an extensive beer list downtown.
