Comfortable, nice place, good price
I liked it...relatively quiet. The only downer was the breakfast room. It's in the basement so there are no windows -- fairly bleak. Nice offering of eggs and sausage, and of course the standard cook-your-own waffles. (With cold syrup, I might add.) Butter was right out of the fridge and so cold it was unspreadable. The TV was tuned to news, so we had a bleak room and bad news to eat by.. Not a great way to start the day.

If you like funky, unusual restaurants, Cafe Mundo is your place. It's an old converted house with fabulous, artsy, outdoor garden seating. Inside is EXCELLENT food and live acoustic music. Very enjoyable!

Comfort Inn, Newport OR
This is an older motel acquired by Comfort Inns from a previous owner. The hotel itself actually looks as if it could have been a Confort Inn from the beginning. The staff is courteous and friendly, the place clean and well maintained, but nothing special. My biggest complaints are 1) the room layout and 2) lack of electrical outlets. The room had an armoire instead of a closet, and a small square table. Problem was the location of the armoire and table should have swapped. There were no electrical outlets near the table and the outlet next to the armoire was broken. All the other outlets in the room were fully utilized by appliances and lamps in the room. The only available outlet was in the sink area, so an extension cord had to be used (tripping hazard) to get power to the table to charge our laptop and cell phones. It wouldn't take much to split the outlets and make the place more travel electronics friendly.

NICE PLACE -- RIGHT PRICE
THE STAFF WAS NICE. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND WELL KEPT. ROOM WAS A LITTLE WARM CONSIDERING IT WAS ONLY 60 DEG. OUTSIDE. BUT OPENING THE WINDOW TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE BREAKFAST WAS OK. WAFFLES,CEREAL AND FRUIT. THE BEACH WAS ONLY A BLOCK AWAY. YOU ARE CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN.

Friendly staff and helpful staff
Mainly there to relax and see the ocean. Being able to see the ocean from our room would have been nice especially when it was raining and cold and windy...not fun to get out.

Weary Business traveler
Nicely done
Very nice hotel staff, helpful, suggested restaurants and were speedy and efficient. The warm cookies in the lobby were a nice touch as well. I would definitely stay there again

Good location but uncomfortable to sleep
Good location, close to the beach. Staffs were friendly and breakfast was very good. Room was small and I could hear all the foot steps from uper floor even other room's shower. The beds were comfortable however without air conditioning, it was difficult to sleep through the night even though I opened the window. I would not stay at the hotel without air conditioning again.
