More Than I Paid For
When I paid $59 per night for a king size with balcony overlooking Bear Creek it was certainly of higher value than what I paid. I've stayed in $100 + rooms that certainly weren't worth the extra 50/100 dollars more per night. I enjoyed my three night stay. I could have found more expensive places but I look at what I get for my money, not how much money I spend. I'll stay here again. Just another 'Average Joe' who doesn't expect to be treated like visiting royalty on $59 a night!

Short walk from hotel
Restuarant right across Bear Creek - perky waitresses, great food, fantastic price. Yes, mediocre ambience if you're looking for linen; but just the kind of place that this Country Boy calls fantastic.

Very Enjoyable Overnight Stay
My wife and I had a very enjoyable overnight stay on our way to California from Washington. Our room was clean and quiet. We were on the second floor and our room had a great river view from the balcony. We plan to stay in this hotel on our return trip from California to Washington.

Good location, good price
This was a Thanksgiving trip/family reunion. The hotel was fine although the stopper in the sink was broken and we never got any maid service until I went out and chased after the maid to get some more coffee and kleenex.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Both the Rogue Valley Mall and the world-famous Harry & David (well worth the experience just to go there) are within a short distance.

Good room for the price
The room faced Interstate 5 and got some freeway noise but it was not too bad.

A decent place at a decent rate
I liked the hotel, however, breakfast was not included in the price, reading previous reviews I had the impression that it was and that was a little disappointing. For the price it was a great place to stay. It is hard to find a decent place these days without breaking the bank. While I did not take advantage of all the amenities offered by this hotel, I feel the hotel was a great place to stay and would stay there again given the opportunity. I was looking for a place that was on the low side of the cost spectrum without worrying about bugs, dirty rooms, crime, etc. The Red Lion was comfortable and clean and I did not feel scared to be staying there.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
In April there is a Pear blossom festival that attracts a bunch of people, it looked like a great time. There is even several foot races, 5K, 10K, etc. if interested. Also, check out Bear Creek Park it is a short drive from the hotel and fun for kids.

Good value, clean
Great room. Clean, updated. Only complaint was that the refrigerator and air conditioning were noisy. Would definitely stay here again. Was pleasantly surprised considering the price. We have spent more for not as nice of a room.

Very nice room with patio, comfortable
Staff helpful and friendly, overall experience better than average; couldn't get dinner on Sunday evening because cook left early; restaurant service for breakfast not fast. Glad we stayed at the Red Lion.
