Oregon's only resort hotel built right on the beach was built to take your breath away. The Inn at Spanish Head Resort Hotel nestles into the ocean bluffs of Lincoln City on the central Oregon coast. The Inn features dramatic ocean views from every guest room and meeting room as well as penthouse Fathoms Restaurant and bar. Elevators take you straight to the beach just footsteps from the door. Year round amenities include excellent dining with great seafood and steaks, an outdoor heated pool, exercise and recreation rooms, saunas and an enclosed ocean view spa. Also, room service, complimentary valet parking and gracious, friendly service make your stay a delight. Most rooms come with balconies and kitchens or kitchenettes. The Inn is a smoke free hotel and pets are not allowed. It's simply the perfect Oregon coast destination for families, group meetings and of course couples.

Family getaway

The overall experience was great. But it was less than I expected after seeing the advertisement pictures of luxurious suites and then winding up in a cramped room without even a dresser to put our clothes in.

After all these years, still the best view in Lincoln City

The views at this hotel cannot be beat. What you should know, and booking through Orbitz and others does not address this issue, is that not all room have balconies to sit and watch the sunset from outside your room. Owned by condo owners, the hotel does a good job of upgrading rooms and making them comfortable and clean for owners and guests. The fitness center is nothing more than a closet with three aerobic machines, one broken. The answer to that is to rework the underutilized conference rooms into a fitness/activity center, perhaps with a spa.

Awesome hideway

From the mid afternoon coffee drinks at the bar with the panaramic view of the beach, to sleeping with the balcony doors open to allow the sound of the waves and cool breezes to put us to sleep, this was an all time good relaxing place to stay. The room had a great balcony and view of the beach. Our room had a mini kitchen and the decor was quaint and beachy...plus nice and clean. The bed was extra comfy.

Have drinks and appetizers in the hotel bar, then drive down to Depoe Bay to experience a restaurant set on the Oregon beach coast called Tidal Raves! Great seafood and wonderful view!

We love the ocean & there's no where better than the Inn at Spanish Head. We loved it when we were newly weds & it was just as wonderful after all these years. The views are spectacular & the hotel is beautiful.

cut above Inn

absolutely best accommodations and view. Exercise room poor - no strength equipmment and average to poor cardio. Poor access hours to dry sauna. Front desk help helpful but staid. Bar served weak drinks. They could use a bit of competition to shake them up a bit. I know that the Inn routinely scores high marks, but when you pay two hundred fifty dollars for a studio with one queen, you would think there'd be more balance in the extras.

go to Tidal Raves in Depot Bay. Try a man handler prime rib at Pier 101, Lincoln City. Try the treats at the SMokehouse, Lincoln City - jut before Spanish Inn heading toward Depot Bay.

What a view!

We've been by here a million times but never stayed. This was a special extension of our anniversary weekend. The location is unbeliveable with the best view I've every had at the coast. The hotel is 10 stories and built into the cliff face. All the rooms face the ocean wtih a 180 degree view. The lobby is on the 9th floor and the lounge and resturant on the 10th. All the rooms are on floors 1-8 so you take the elevator down to your room. The room was exceptionally clean with a little frige, micro, and sink for us to use. The lounge and resturant were great. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable for the type of hotel (~$25 avg per plate). Excellent place for a couple to spend the weekend. This is a great place to spend a summer weekend or it could be really fun to huddle up for a winter storm and watch the sea pound against the rocks right outside your window. I'd definitely go back!

Awesome Service!

We had never stayed at Inn at Spanish Head. Our room was spotless, I don't think we ever heard another person the whole time and the hotel was full! We ordered room service twice and had our food in less than a half hour. Housekeeping, room service, valet, restaurant and the front desk staff were all VERY friendly and helpful. Our weekend couldn't have been better.

The Inn at Spanish Head

The food at the FATHOMS was very good. The view overlooking the ocean is one of the best I've seen. The service was outstanding. We stayed in Room 331, where the bed faces the ocean view. This was unique, and really nice. We were watching the seals in the ocean at the same time as television. We were also treated to heavy rain and wind at times--a very nice experience. We had a nice walk up and down the beach. There was many seals in the water where the Siletz River empties into the ocean. Within the room were many mirrors. That was a little different, but nice. The only thing that wasn,t perfect is that the room was a little small.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

We drove up to the cottages at Cape Kiwanda. That is a very beautiful place. I think we will buy a fractional ownership for three weeks a year.
