Extended Stay Deluxe Portland - Hillsboro

This hotel is in a great location and surrounded by everything within a short car ride. I'm use to the daily housekeeping rituals of other hotels where the sheets, towels, and garbage were removed and replenished as required but if you're a clean person you'll keep the place in ship shape and you take care of those things yourself. If you depend on others keeping you clean good luck!

Here for Safeway Classic LPGA tournament. Appreciated number of nearby restaurant choices and Whole Foods across the street. Expanded continental breakfast is adequate starter. Main problem with hotel was its worn appearance and inadequate housekeeping. Even though daily service is offered for a fee, it's apparent rooms are not cleaned well between tenants. Felt like the room needed a thorough cleaning, wall to wall, floor to ceiling. Heard lots of door slamming and people moving around in rooms above and adjacent, but it seemed to be quiet during the nights. Cable TV lineup didn't have Golf Channel which will be carrying this tournament next year. Although the rate was very reasonable, that shouldn't mean the property doesn't get the care and maintenance it should receive. Have stayed in dozens of hotels over the years, would put this one in the bottom 33%.

We did not have time to enjoy the pool or the the sports equipment because of our focus upon a severe illness of a family member who lives in the area.

This hotel is within walking distance to plenty of eating and a few shops. It is not a well-kept facility tho the staff is very pleasant. Guests throw their full garbage bags in the hallway where is sets for days. Stairwells haven't been swept in ages. Towel racks hang by a loose screw on the wall. Kitchenette towels are stained and grimy looking.

The Extended Stay Deluxe in Hillsboro, Oregon is an excellent value for the cost. Each room has a efficiency style kitchen that makes preparing your own meals possible. Plates and other cooking utensils are limited. The hotel provides only one dishwasher cycle worth of detergent so a roll of paper towels and a small bottle of dish detergent is required if one cooks every day. Wireless internet service and TV service is good. The room had large windows and I liked that I could open them fully to let in fresh air. The staff was very responsive and courteous. The Shopping center across the street has a large selection of restaurants. There is a Whole Foods market within walking distance and Safeway a short drive away. It is ideal for a cost effective stay of a week or more.

Poor choice of beds for this hotel. Considering the price a decent bed would be expected. Not so here. I will choses someplace else next time.

I was unfamiliar with extended stay.... so deluxe extended stay seemed ok, or better...there is no maid service if you stay less than a week. the sheet kept coming undone from the mattress, and when I called the front desk, they said that we could pick up two flat sheets and make up the bed on our own. I was very shocked that there was no daily maid service.
