Terrific Management
I recently moved from The Island of Cebu in the Philippines to Eugene, OR, and booked 5 nights. I had hoped to find an apartment readily available during these 5 days but the one I wanted was not available until October 14. I asked the manager if he could provide me with a room at a discount. We were able to reach an agreement on a lower rate for the longer stay. And all this during the University of Oregon home football games when the City was sold out of rooms long before. He and his wonderful family have made me feel like I am one of them. For service beyond what should be expected, I would recommend the Travelers Inn to one and all.

Very convenient to University of Oregon
Within short walking distance to the University of Oregon. Next to a 7-11 and other fast food. Very convenient! Friendly and very attentive owners. Older motel, very well kept and very clean. Great amenities. I would definitely go back! Very reasonable prices too!

You get what you pay for, which is fine
We made reservations on Orbitz for a Friday night in Eugene before a U of O football game --our first. We drove from Portland on Friday afternoon. We wanted to be close to the game and not spend too much on lodgings. Our priority when traveling is almost always to get the most for our money. Plus, we would rather spend the extra on unique restaurants than on plush surroundings. The Travelers Inn was easy to find, within walking distance of the stadium (not an easy walk, however, great for us), and very clean. The carpet was new as was the paint. The bathroom facilities are dated, but clean and work well. No trouble getting hot water -- or cold for that matter. We were quite satisfied with our choice. As I said in the title, we got what we paid for, and we were very happy with it!

Great Place for the Price
This is a great hotel overall for the price. The room was small but clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There's not a lot of flashy extras, but the owners are VERY nice people. Also, the location couldn't be any better. It's just a short walk to both campus and downtown, and there's a lot of really good local and chain restaurants within a block or two (and a 7-11 right next to the hotel). Easily the best price for a good hotel in the area!

Travelers Inn Motel, Eugene OR
Small family run motel, very friendly staff, check-in was a breeze, lots of local info at front desk. Older place but well-kept & clean. Went looking for ice machine and staff brought ice to our room. Convenience store next door, lots of restaurants in walking distance. Attended concert @ Univ of Oregon's new Matthew Knight Arena about a mile away. Would stay again.

Mundane Hotel, Works Fine
Standard, simple, effective, and it did the job. I didn't return, it didn't offer any amenities or breakfast, compared to Campus Inn, which offers both at a cheaper cost.

Nice quaint place, close to everything
We've stayed at many of the motels in Eugene the past 10 years and this one was by far the cleanest and friendliest. We always spend at least 4 days during holiday time to visit family and we will definitely be back here. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. The room was warm and a good size. The sheets were very soft and the linens were refreshed every day, even without asking. Even with there being the Ducks game that weekend the place was pretty quiet. (a few fans were up late celebrating the win, but it wasn't too bad) The TV was awfully small and would be better if they could raise it a bit so you don't have to look thru your feet at it and the remote was glitchy, but we managed, closed captioning didn't work which was annoying as my husband is hard of hearing. Would be a great room to have in the spring or summer as it has a little private balcony..in freezing temps it wasn't used by us. The WiFi worked well and they have a small breakfast offering which was nice. Was a very good location for downtown, the U and shopping. It was a pleasant stay.

Short walk from hotel
The Mission mexican restaurant is right across the sidestreet and they have pretty good food. The other side was a burrito place which we didn't try, but was always busy and was open 24/7 we might try that next time. Lots of places to eat within a block and a couple of convienence stores nearby too.

Eugene is not known for great hotels . . .
Pros: clean, compact, courteous staff, refrigerator, microwave. Our tv broke and it was taken care of immediately. Cons: Could have more variety for continental breakfast. Odd room refreshener smell in lobby each morning was overpowering. Would come back again after hearing friends complain of their poor rooms at other hotels/motels in the area.

Big Daddy John
A Basic Modest Motel in Eugene Oregon
The proprietor's of this hotel are very friendly! The location of the hotel is good. We were in town for a UO Ducks football game. It's close to everything. It is an older facility - marginally maintained. Old fixtures, old hanging lamps in what are now odd locations, funky funky smell! The Bed was quite comfortable. I slept well. The show was a small closet and fluctuated hot and cold. It was a good place to sleep after an exciting game but nothing fancy or special.

Short walk from hotel
The 7-11 right next door is really handy for a late snack, decent coffee in the morning or what have you.
