The DA
Not Truthful
I had reservation for king bed & received a one queen bed for 2 & was told the hotel was completely booked. .I was told by management since I prepaid by booking on line I had to get my refund from the web site I booked from & they would tell that website that I received only a queen bed instead of a king bed so I would get my refund.Red Lion refused to verify the fact to the company I booked with so now I can not get a refund.Red lion hotel told the company I booked with I should have received my refund@ check out from them & now it's too late to get a refund.Red Lion was dishonest with me & I can assure you I will never book another Red Lion hotel in the future. I will tell my friends what happened to me with Red Lion & I'm sure my friends won't book with them also.

a big disappointment
I stayed in this chain hotels at other place before where I had a really good experience and that's why I picked this one this time over the other choices but got myself a big disappointment. It's more like a motel than a hotel and it's kind of old. The worst part was that I could hear people walking upstairs and a guy's coughing next door all night long (my room was at first floor). I didn't go to ask for a room change since it was already late and luckily the next couple of nights were quiet.

Perfect For A One-Night Stay
This was my first visit to Oregon, and I was in Eugene for an appointment to visit the University of Oregon. The location was in very close driving proximity to campus, requiring about a 5-minute drive, give or take. I was very pleased that the Red Lion Hotel was right off of the freeway exit, so I couldn't miss it while exiting Coburg Rd. The staff was very friendly when; seeing that my 13-hour drive from Los Angeles had exhausted me, they made check-in extremely easy. During check-out, I inquired about brunch places and the manager was very pleased to oblige; he had recommended Studio One Cafe on 19th and Agate, which was fantastic. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a comfortable short-term stay, especially if you're visiting the university, and it's easy for those who are visiting Eugene, OR for the first time.

Location / access to main highways good
Reasonably clean, quiet and a step up in quality from Motel 6 / Super 8 type places. I wish there were hotels next to Eugene Airport. I flew in after midnight (3am my time) and struggled with GPS finding the place. I would come back again if I were traveling by myself, but wouldn't bring my wife here.

Great Customer service
We came to Eugene from Portland to attend a concert at cuthbert amphitheater. The rooms were clean, we had an awesome back entrance leading to the pool area, and eco friendly bathroom products. The have a little cooler with items for purchase such as beer, yogurts, snacks. The staff was super friendly and extra helpful. Gay friendly as well. :)
