Great Stay

We were only there one night. The check in went without a hitch, very friendly front desk staff and warm cookies. The room was spacious, 2 queen size beds, clean and exactly as advertised. The included breakfast had something for each of us and coffee to go. Even though it's a couple block fartehr to walk to campu, University of Oregon, than the hotels across the street, I will absolutely make this my next stay.

Mediocre at best

I think for the price point, this hotel was too shabby. The staff was friendly but the actual rooms seemed poorly renovated and dingy. The shower was a little dirty with a greasy feeling shower curtain From the photos it seemed the best choice among the other hotels listed but it was far from great. For $80 a night, I would understand. For $140, I don't think it's worth it.

Great Central Location

Traveling for business I always stay at the Phoenix Inn because of the great breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, and central location. I can easily walk to downtown and the U of O. And, easy access to the running/bike trails along the beautiful Willamette river!

Great Business Hotel

Hotel is conveneint to everthing. Has a breakfast that includes eggs for protien. Bed was a tad uncomfortable. I choose to stay here eveytime I come to Eugene because it's clean, friendly, reliable, and I can walk to where I want to go (U of O and downtown). Also close to the bike/running trails along the river which is super great and BEAUTIFUL!

Scouting U of O

Was very impressed with the Phoenix Inn. The hotel was clean and upscale, centrally located. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Amenities were nice - continental breakfast, gym, spa, pool. Our purpose was to check out the U of O - hotel was close to campus. Did some shopping, sighseeing while there. All in all, very happy with this trip.

Club Baseball Trip

We went to Eugene to watch our son play baseball but it rained 3/4 days that we were there and the games were cancelled. The Phoenix itself and the staff were excellent. The rooms were spacious and other facilities more than adequate. We found the workout room a bit small for the size of the hotel: the equipment first-rate.We were always able to get a machine. The most prominent obstacle to sleeping were the trains that went by 3x per night and blew their whistles. Ask for a room that faces the rear. The included breakfast was the best we've experienced at a hotel in Eugene, with a nice variety.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

On the back side of the Valley River SHopping Center there's a wonderful paved walking/biking/running path that goes for miles, one on each side of the river through bird sanctuaries.

Better than stays I booked on my own

I visited with my daughter at University of Oregon. The hotel was within walking distance. It was easy to get downtown. It was the best stay I've had in Oregon and at Phoenix Inn. My daughter even agreed.

Figure out your restaurant ahead of time. None of the nicer restaurants are within walking distance. A rental car is a good idea, just opt to get your own gas.

good times had by all

All Staff members went above and beyond their duties. Rooms were very accomidating, I was traveling with a handicapped person and an elderly person, Your staff helped with dinning room needs, got our out-dated laptop computer to work in our room, they even went to the grocery store to get a few things to keep in the in-room refridigerator. Thank You Again for all your friendly service with a smile!

Comfortable stay

The motel and the room were comfortable. Nice breakfast each morning. Close to the university, restaurants. Friendly staff. Room could have used a deep cleaning. There was dust around the edge of the carpet where the vacuum didn't reach. The floor of the bathroom was a little discolored and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint/new wallpaper. There was a dispenser of shampoo/conditioner and body wash mounted on the shower wall. No lotion provided. Overall, though, it was comfortable and I would stay there again.

The drug store Hirons to the east of the motel is also a great gift store. Stocked full of cute items.
