Comfortable stay in college city

Overall I was quite pleased. Good location for downtown but if you are doing anything close to the U of O campus, it'll be a little bit of a hike. Good workout facility as well. Good for singles or families.

Loud dining area, broken pool, LOTS of hidden costs

The cost of my reservation nearly doubled after parking fees and pet fees, and the nickle and diming of 2 dollar bottled water in the room, food (no continental breakfast here!), 12 dollar movies (which I watched because the pool was broken). Bottom line- really nice staff, really mediocre facility. Noisy common areas, a broken pool, and a long walk to the parking area.

Stay at the Hilton everytime we visit Eugene

My husband and I first stayed at the Hilton in June 2011 and we were impressed by this hotel. From the outside it looks a little outdated, but inside the hotel is nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One thing we loved about this hotel is the room service and food. This is by far the best food we've had from room service in a hotel. When we returned two weeks ago, we stayed in and had breakfast in bed both days because we enjoyed the room service so much the last time. If you are traveling to Eugene, definitely stay here. You won't be disappointed.

Good location near lots of restaurants. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is overpriced.

Not impressed

First, I waited 15 minutes to check in without any acknowledgement from the front desk staff. Once I was able to check in, I was told I had to pay $10 to park there at the hotel! That was a surprise as that was never told to me when I was booking. Their system was down and not able to make a key for my room, so I was that a bellman would be up with my keys shortly. After an hour of waiting, I went back down to the front desk to let them know that I was leaving to go get something to eat and was told hopefully the keys would be done when I can back. When I came back 2.5 hours later, the keys were ready and as I went back to my room, they had slid keys under my door! How I was to get those keys is beyond me! The service in the restaurant was slow and waited 20 minutes before they even took my order. It wasn't busy at all. For a Hilton, I was not impressed and will not be staying there again. Not worth $130 a night. Especially when they nickel and dime you just to be there.

Better than expected

I stayed at the Hilton for a combined business/ pleasure trip. I was hesitant to stay there as I felt that it was a dated hotel and over-priced. In booking it I felt that it was too high priced for that location but was willing to give it a chance. I was impressed by the helpful staff that I encountered and found my room to be clean & comfortable. The lcoation proved to perfect for my needs. I still think it is too expensive relative to otehr options, but would consider it a resonable alternative for future stays.
