Weekend getaway
Small but cozy room. Clean and surprisingly quiet being right in between two highways. The heater took awhile to warm up the room but then it was warm and toasty. Great place.

Electrical issues
The good: really convenient location, and the room itself was quite pleasant in appearance, both clean and appealing in decor. Despite the irritations below, I felt like the price was very competitive. The bad: The heater was broken, though, and instead of providing a space heater at check-in, a sign was placed below the heater that said they were experiencing problems with "some" of the heaters in "some" of the rooms, and to ask for a space heater if the room was too cold. Indeed, my room was one of the "some". The hair dryer in the room was missing its guard and promptly sucked up and burnt off some of my hair before I could get the thing turned off, which was a little irritating. As I sat down on the bed, the bedside lamp turned off, and after some searching I noticed the multiplug adapter protruding from the wall was wedged between the matress and box spring at the head of the bed, and was almost pulled from the outlet. The fridge made a continuous knocking noise which was loud enough that I just unplugged it for the nights I was there. I would recommend this hotel to a friend as a reasonable 2-star type place to stay at a low price.

Overpriced and misrepresented
The room was clean and neat but about one third the size of a real hotel room. Shoebox would be a better description. Cramped, even for a couple.

Friendly
The gal that checked us in was very friendly and halpful. The cookies were a nice touch. The fact that we could find parking space for our truck and horse trailer was a bonus. The only thing negative I could say about our stay was a staff member rolled a laundry cart down the middle of the parking lot at midnight.

Everything I needed
I was passing through Coos Bay and the Super 8 was an affordable and nice place to stay. It was comfortable and clean. There were no extras, but I didn't need them.

No heat in December?
The Coos Bay Super 8 is one to avoid. Our first room had a ceiling fan turned on with no switch or pull chain to turn it off. The heater didn't work so the attendant brought us a space heater. The next day when we asked for another room ( and a discount or something for our trouble) we were moved to another room with a broken heater! The manager said that some room had " power problems".......whatever THAT means. Small towns are struggling right now with the poor economy. The businesses that survive will be ones that remember what customer service is. Enough said!

Great location!
This hotel was in the heart of Coos Bay. We had a view of the bay and the room was very nice. It was close to nice restaurants and Mill Casino/ Hotel and RV park.
