Didn't get past entrance

Tried to check in, but no one was in the office. A couple in front of me was waiting 15 minutes. There was a phone there to call staff but no one answered. I waited in my car and staff finally came 45 minutes later. Cancelled reservation, did not stay. if you keep the office open that long with no staff safe and secure is it?

decent hotel, reasonable price

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The room was a king suite, yet considerably smaller than the other king suite that I stayed in previously. The room was comfortable though small. The bed was very comfortable with five pillows. The one furnishing that should be replaced was an ugly and worn orange chair. The microwave worked this time. Wi-Fi worked well. The only problem was a slow flushing toilet. I requested a room in the back of the hotel and this was better in terms of noise from the busy intersection out front. Unfortunately, my view of Mt. Hood was blocked by trees. Continental breakfast was decent and free copies of the Oregonian are available. There is also an outside pool that I was unaware of until this visit.

Clackamas Inn & Suites is in a great location right off of 205. There are great eating places near and some in walking distance. Just north is a chocolate factory which is open to the public. The rooms are clean whatever you need they will get for you. Breakfast (free) id great. you can made yor own waffle. The price is great.

Decent for the price

The hotel was improved since my last stay several years ago, new owners and remodeled. The positives include: the spacious king suite, which was clean with comfortable bedding; the complementary breakfast was adequate; staff were polite. The negatives were: location- a very busy intersection and difficult to negotiate with traffic; noise level was somewhat high with the room in the front facing the street; some outdated decor in the room. For the price, it was a good deal however and I will stay there again. And although the location is at a busy intersection, it was right off I-205, so convenient in that regard.

Not the ritz but it did the job

This hotel was great for what we needed. We were in town for a very short amount of time for a wedding. Although this wasn't exactly a curbside appeal kinda hotel it did the job we needed and the continental breakfast was great! The outside of the hotel was not very nice looking and I wouldn't go in the hot tub which is in a corner of the parking lot very secluded (not to mention right on the freeway). It was still pretty quite and we weren't bothered by noise. The stay was short and sweet, and the customer service was really good.

Could be better

the hotel has a strange, strong smell to it. Drug people live in rooms and were fighting all night long and staff did not call police or stop them. Slamming doors and yelling. The parking is small and has only one driveway that is off a busy street. Hard to get in and out of. Rooms only had 2 towels and 1 washcloth. But they were clean and had micro and fridge which was very nice! Staff is very nice to deal with at front desk. Hotel is ok for the money, but the fighting and drug people need to go!!!!! We didn't pay to stay up all night!
