knew it was cheap didn't expect much
For only $33 a night this wasn't that bad. The staff was nice, seamed to be a family operation. The location was central to both downtown Bend and Newberry Volcano National Monument. Go up to Paulina and East lake if you can it's gorgeous. You'll never know your standing inside a gigantic super volcano. We were laying on the lakes' beach of small lava, worn obsidian and pumice as a big Osprey I think swooped down and caught a fish in it's talons. Visit the lava cave, lava butte and the lava cast forest. The motel also had cable, that was nice after a long adventurous day. No pool or hot tub though. The bed was not very comfortable especially when the "fitted" sheet which was just a top sheet, kept coming undone and I'd wake up sleeping partly on the filthy mattress. We moved the bed to access a plug and you could tell no one had cleaned under there for a while; someone elses candy wrapper, a french fry and lots of dirt and dust. I just kept reminding myself though that this was only $33 and I could stand it.

Awful! The worst motel ever!
Old, not clean. Even has flea!!! Worst experience ever!
