Can't complain

I wasn't heading to a large metro area so my hotel expectations weren't huge. I also didn't want to spend too much so again my expectations weren't high. But I have to say I was very happy with my brief stay. the beds were as comfortable as I've ever been in. If they sold them I'd ship one to my house. The lobby was nice. The restuarant was more like a diner but that is the only downside. The elevator was also old but that is just nit picking. The staff was very friendly. I would stay there again.

Great City, Great Hotel

No hastles during our four day stay. If driving, be sure to see the Newberry National Volcanic Monument and visit the city parks on the Deschutes river about four blocks away.

Several good restaurants downtown - about 2-4 blocks from hotel. Cafe Sintra has great salads and the Deschutes brewery has great food (kids OK). Both have sidewalk tables.

Had to work on getting a good experience

When we checked in, the clerk quoted us a higher rate, $119 per night (we booked at $84) We were also told that there were no King Size beds available and that we would have to take a room with two queen size beds. We had to press to get the clerk to look up the correct rate. Meanwhile, I over heard another guest request a room with two queen size beds instead of the one King Size he had reserved. The clerk gave him the tho queen size beds. I had to press the clerk to give us the room the other gentleman just gave up.

Best Hotel we've stayed at in awhile

Wonderful stay in Bend. We didn't want to stay with relatives, so we booked a hotel in Bend and loved it. The air conditioner was on when we got in the room and we needed it, because it was 90 degrees outside. The decor was very welcoming. Loved the extra space and the kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink. We had an extremely comfortable king size bed and we slept through the night. The breakfast was great. I had 3 plates of food and my husband said that's the most he's ever seen me eat!!!! The only downside is that we wished there was room service, because we didn't want to leave the hotel.

Old Mill District is a great place to walk around, do some shopping, eat Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and watch a movie.

Great hotel and location

Super spot. Would recommend highly. Newly renovated with flat screen TVs. Very clean. The staff is so helpful in every way. They continually gave me print outs of directions, information etc from their computer at the desk. They took the time to explain any questions we had about anything we asked them. The breakfasts were very good in the morning; big variety and quite good. Convenient and so much easier than going out for breakfast. Would return again and wouldn't consider any other place if. If you need to be in the center of Bend and walking distance to the stores in the middle of town, this is the place!
