Good location, good price, good overall

We attended a soccer tournament, but also enjoyed the area. We hiked, went to shops in the Old Mill and Downtown area. Experienced Bend.

Good location, good value.

The Econo Lodge in Bend is far from a fancy hotel that's for sure, but it was clean, had a good location and the front desk staff were friendly, helpful and pleasent. I mainly went with the Econo Lodge because of its location (10-15 min walk from downtown) and the price (one of the cheapest options in an above avg priced town). My girlfriend and I were happy with our purchase and stay.

Econo Lodge that was...an Econo Lodge

We stayed at this Econo Lodge because other hotels and motels that appeared to have more going for them were full. The room was clean, and pretty much entirely devoid of character. It was nice that there was a microwave and fridge in the room, but not so useful, given that we were not inspired to hang out in the room. We had breakfast plans and thus weren't planning on having the free continental breakfast, which was a good thing, because it was pretty bleak: dismal prepackaged danishes and muffins and no fruit or fruit juice that I could see (no bagels, no cream cheese, no cold cereal). I guess motels would go broke in Bend offering more because of all the hikers and bikers who can eat a zillion calories. The same amount of money would go towards a much nicer stay in other locales; Bend hotels were pricey compared to others in Oregon.

Great hotel room for a great price

We were in Bend, OR for a baseball weekend with the Wenatchee AppleSox against the Bend Elks. We had a great room. We had two very comfortable queen size beds for me and my friend. The only problem we had was with the stopper in the bathtub which would not stay open, but a wash cloth solved that. We also reported it to the front desk. The breakfast is cheesy being only instant oatmeal and packaged danishs. Other than that, we had a very pleasurable stay.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Five miles south on Hwy 97 is the High Desert Museum. It has rescued animals and old western cabin and sawmill. On Hwy 20, there is a vodka and gin distillery. It was interesting and they have a tasting room.

Great Getaway

Mountain biked for a week. The hotel was centrally located with easy access to everywhere. Stayed in a nicer hotel previously, but it was much harder to get to and from.

Hotel

The Hotel was perfect for just needing a place to sleep in as we were attending a concert and eating out and shopping. It was not a luxury hotel for relaxing in but fine for just needing a place to sleep and get up the next day and go home. Service was friendly
