Hospitable stay

I've stayed here before, so I knew already how it is. I'm a young man and so I personally don't mind the old look to the place. I was content that it is cheap and near the center of town. The room didn't smell. The room was clean and simple. If your looking for a cheap place to stay and don't care if it doesn't have a large television, elegant portraits, fluffy pillows, and updated amenities then this place will suffice.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

The Old Mill district is only a short drive from the hotel. I recommend getting something to eat their and checking out the stores.

short getaway

It was like the worse looking hotel in the whole town. Yes,we were looking for a bargain, but once we got to town we saw plenty of local hotels that looked in much better shape, and their signs indicated they were around the same price. We had never been to this town before, so didn't know. We won't stay there again.

The hotel was a very low budget hotel. Old wood paneling, old carpet and furniture. There was some bare sheetrock in our room. The room smelled like cigarrette smoke.

Budget Inn, Bend, OR

The motel overbooked guests and told us at check-in that we were being moved to another motel - the Royal Gateway. Neither of these two motels rated more than 1 to 1 1/2 stars. Small, cramped, noisy, old and outdated. A major disappointment even at the very low price we paid. At least the Royal Gateway had new carpet and paint. Whoop-dee-do!! A great big Thumbs Down on these two motels!!!

Visit the area's micro-breweries/pubs. A beer lover's delight, with some outstanding brews being proffered.

The worst dump I've ever been in!

The Room was a dump. The bed was made up with makeshift sheets with burn holes in them. They never made the bed nor replaced the towels in three days. The service was terrible and the staff was rude. The only amenity they offered was WiFi and that only worked half the time.

Disgusting hotel, terrible service

Came for an event and this was the only motel that was vacant...no surprise there. It was the worst motel we have ever stayed in! The room was dark and smelled foul. Upon pulling back the comforter we found that there was no bottom sheet and there were pubic hairs on the bed. We went to the staff to get clean sheets and ended up changing them ourselves. The manager (?) was not wearing a shirt and didn't even speak English. The other staff were in pajamas. We were actually afraid to sleep here because it was so dirty. We tried to touch as little as possible. We slept in our clothes and thankfully didn't get bit by bed bugs. The bathroom was also filthy. The towels were covered in hair and the shower and shower curtain were coated in mold and mildew. We paid for two nights, but only stayed one. We called everywhere else in town until we found another room. It was absolutely repulsive. It was one of those "you've GOT to be kidding me!" experiences. Do NOT stay here under any circumstances.

Budget inn

The place was shotty. The windows were replaced and were not finished, they had exposed drywall. There was mold and poor upkeep in the bathroom. The place was very drafty and you could hear everything that was going on around you.

Cheap option if you don't need frills.

My primary need was a very low price, so in that regard, it was great! When you stay at a hotel with that low of a price, you don't expect much, and this met my expectations. I'm glad I brought ear plugs to sleep with because the walls were thin. All I needed was a place to sleep before my meeting in the morning, and it did fine for me. They do need to invest in some new bed sheets and pillow cases. The only real difficulty was the shower was very small. Still, there was plenty of hot water, and nothing about it was too bad. If you call at certain times of day it may be difficult to reach an employee who speaks English. It was irritating that I ended up with incorrect charges on my card after my stay.

worn-out but clean

Your expectations can't be too high when a room only costs $33 a night. The motel is older, worn out, but the large room looked pretty clean and it was a convienent place to rest our heads at night. The walls are a bit thin but fortunately we had quiet neighbors. The staff was pleasant. The biggest problem we had was actually with [...]. When my info got sent to the motel, it had [...] (apparently they are related companies) contact info and cc info where my info should have been.... created much confusion with the low-tech (re: pen and paper check in) staff and an additional 20 minutes on the phone to clear up.

Worn out hotel room

We arrived at 1 am and the service agent was very pleasant. When we got in the room it was very run down. When we climbed into bed the pillows were so thin we used our sweat shirts and coats to sleep on. There were stains on the carpet and a hole in the ceiling.
