Amazing location, very nice room.
This hotel was ideally located on the amazingly beautiful Deschutes River. We were able to walk out of the hotel and find ourselves right in the heart of things: Hiking, biking, eating, shopping. The room was very nice and comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful, even late at night. The continental breakfast was GOOD.

An impressive property at a great price
We stayed at the Ameritel Inn for a couple nights while exploring the Bend Oregon area. The Inn is a very upscale looking property, with great design, decore, landscaping, and location, at a good price. The Inn is located on a cliff overlooking the newly redeveloped Old Mill Area and with a view of the surrounding snow capped mountains (July 4th). There is easy walking access to shopping, dining, and recreation areas and walking paths along the river. The free breakfast buffet is a step above others, with a large selection of hot and cold foods for any taste and appetite. I would highly recommend this Inn.

Short drive from hotel
Take the ski lift ride up Mt. Bachelor to the lodge/restaurant, for incredible views of the surrounding snow capped mountains, forests, lakes, and vulcanic landscape. Be sure to listen to the facinating free talk about the geologic history of the area, given by a ranger.

Luxurious Inn
My husband was invited to Bend to marry our dear friend's daughter. They suggested this inn for our stay. I looked at pictures and read reviews but no one was able to photograph or fully describe the quiet elegance this hotel has. To begin...the location is ideally and centrally situated for all of our activities, site seeing, shopping, etc. It sits above The Old Mill district which has been turned into a shopping mall complete with a wonderful restaurant situated on the riverfront, "Gregg's Grill". We had an easy fast drive into the historic downtown, Cascade Lakes Scenic byway (that took us to all of the water falls, lava fields, & landings for river rafting. Upon arrival to the hotel I was 1st impressed by the architectural esthetics. It was much larger than I anticipated. The entry brought us into a beautiful foyer that had over-sized couches, chairs and coffee tables surrounding a huge double sided fireplace. To the right was the area where they serve a full complimentary breakfast with a beautiful elegant dining area. The entire area I'm describing has windows on every wall that stretch from floor to high vaulted ceilings. Our breakfast included, scrambled eggs cooked with ham, home fried potatoes, sausages, bagels & assorted breakfast rolls, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, fruit, cottage cheese, cold cereal selections, fruit juices, fantastic coffee and assorted herbal and English teas. In the afternoon after a day of fun, you are greeted at the front desk with trays of freshly baked warm cookies. Coffee and tea are available 24hrs/day. We wanted for nothing. Our room was a lovely welcome after our day of travel. An inviting King sized bed with the most beautiful white goose down comforter in an elegant duvet. Plenty of pillows, lovely furnishing and a beautiful bathroom. This place felt like an up-scaled Marriott (not a "Resident Inn"). It was QUIET! I couldn't believe how quiet it is there. We didn't hear anyone's TV or shower or voices through the walls. They have black out curtains which is good as the sun sets late and rises early. Had I known the hotel is on the water, I would have asked for a room overlooking the river...next time. This hotel was a huge surprise for the cost is amazingly low for the quality it has to offer. I wish I had taken pictures because no one has been able to show how lovely this hotel truly is...even Ameri-tel needs to get some professional photos up. Really, I thought it was going to be a rinky- dink hotel! We loved it and will return.

You can get to anywhere you want to go within 15-30 minutes from here. That includes, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, snow skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, walking on long paths alongside the river, parks and viewing incredible waterfalls.

I love the Ameritel
We stay at the Ameritel at least once a year when our teams travel to Bend for tournaments. The hotel is always clean and the staff is friendly. It is a short drive to the sports fields and I love the fresh cookies in the evening and being able to walk to the stores -especially Ben and Jerry's for ice cream. Red Robin is close by and they will deliver to your room at the hotel, which is a great plus as well. They have a full breakfast and were gracious enough to open it early for our group, so the girls could eat breakfast prior to leaving for an early morning game.
