great value hotel

I will recommend this hotel for two reasons. The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I spent 4 nights there and looked forward to climbing into bed each night I was there. Reason #2 is the friendliness of all the staff. Staying at the Village Suites was like staying at the home of a much loved relative. We are making plans to return the the area and will definitely return to the Village Suites.

Removed but not remote

This property is a short drive to downtown Ashland. The staff provides a comp breakfast "snack" and there is a restaurant right across the street.

Great Hotel

Used this hotel while visiting Southern Oregon University. It is close to the campus, but in a quiet location just off I-5. Sprawling and the reception area was a little tricky to find, but the room was large and the most comfortable bed I ever slept on!! The furniture and appliances were all in good order, the room clean and well stocked and very comfortable. I enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning with paper delivered to my door. Also fresh coffee always in the lobby. The fitness room was really small. My stay was comfortable, no issues, clean hotel and quiet and very restful. I definitely will stay here again when I come back

wonderful accomodations

I recently stayed over a week at this hotel visiting relatives in Ashland. It was pleasant and everyone on the staff was very helpful. The "Suite Awakening" was delivered promptly and plentiful for my tastes. The 3rd floor gave a beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. The suite was very spacious and well furnished.

Wonderful stay

We were just passing through Ashland and booked this hotel on a whim. We arrived late at night and were greeted with friendly staff and free cookies. Our room was VERY clean and spacious. The view from the 2nd floor was spectacular. The free breakfast and all day coffee/tea is great. Recommend this hotel to anybody.

Great deal!

I got a suite for $105 + tax. Can't beat that! The old Windmill Inn is closed, but the suites in back are still open and very happy to have customers. If you're going to Ashland, give this place serious consideration. You won't find anything else in its class.

Dog & People Friendly

The Village Suites sit facing the Ashland foothills which where full of color. All around the grounds there's a show of floral display that shows someone cares. Checking in is a tad weird with the suites check in desk being one of the rooms taken over down the hall deal. The desk staff made up for the walk to sign in with pleasent greetings & cookies as they hand you the room swipe card. Suites are nice in all regards with the charm & room to move around. Plus the dog couldn't get enough outside time with the new smells & seeing a cow for the first time. I would stay there again without question.

The Village Suites Review/29 Jun thru 2

I made reservations at the Village Suites after reviewing fellow travelers highly favorable comments. I had no intention of making a review, nor had I ever made a review before. I felt so positive about my stay here that I really felt compelled to share my experience. Likes: Each of The three people who I encountered during check-in were extremely polite. The registration office must be one of the smallest and efficient offices on the planet. It might have taken all of three or four minutes or less to get me checked in and on my way to my room. I had two different rooms on my visit, one on the ground floor facing a large interior courtyard and one on the second floor. Both were very clean and tastefully decorated. The pillows and linens on the bed (which was in a separate room) were unbelievably soft and smelled outdoors fresh. The bed itself was a pillow-top and something to die for. When I commented on my surprise at how comfortable the bed was, I learned that all of the beds had recently been recently replaced (I was tempted to remove some of the bedding to see who the manufacturer was). A beautiful white comforter completed the bedding ensemble. The bathroom was spotless with thick fluffy towels that felt and smelled like they were right out of the package. Shampoo, conditioner, and the soaps/lotions all felt first class. A small kitchen was next to the bathroom and included all the usual amenities, including microwave, under the counter refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. Each morning a free "Suite Surprise" was provided to my door and included a choice of the local newspaper (or the Wall Street Journal), toast, butter, jam, fruit, orange juice and fresh coffee. I though this was a very nice touch and I really enjoyed it. The Village Suites is far enough from the freeway that there is absolutely no traffic noise. Dislikes: A couple of small niggles include the lack of a flat screen TV (there was a large CRT TV instead) and although noise was minimal, I could hear a couple of small barks (only in the late morning and never at night). Small pets are allowed in a separate wing of the Village Suites. Finally, I had a "senior moment" and departed without the usual last check of the room. Two hundred miles later I was unpacking at another hotel when I discovered my $3K laptop missing. Fortunately, the room cleaning service at Village Suites had already discovered the laptop and had it waiting for me at the registration desk when I returned five hours later. It would have been easy for the laptop to have walked off, but in the end it turned out to be another positive experience, much like the rest of my stay.
