no shower
Shower temperature control did not work (scalding hot only). Desk gave me a key to another room so I could shower. I have a hard time believing that this was a new problem (control handle was quite loose, anyone from housekeeping using the water should have noticed) and wonder why they hadn't taken care of the situation.

Good place to stay
We stayed in Ashland to take a rafting trip and this place was perfect for that. It was easy access to the highway and to the raft pick-up location. There were several places to eat very close by. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Can't comment on the breakfast since did not use. I highly recommend this place to anyone for any purpose.

Family Weekend
Great price compared to others of same caliber and was cheaper than the local youth hostel for our group. The staff was always cheerful and helpful. The beds were a little hard, but for the price I would've slept on anything. Our TV was awful (old, bad color), but we weren't there to watch TV. Everything else was pretty standard. We mostly appreciated the kind natures of the three desk clerks that we interacted with.

Ashland Super 8
This is a very good motel for the price. The location is fine, the view impressive. The room was a little small but not a problem. It was well appointed, clean and comfortable.

Super 7
the hotel was reasonable, the room was quite warm with no way to cool it. The Internet connection worked in the pm and we were unable to reconnect in the am.

Worst place I've ever stayed
The room was dingy and cramped, the motel itself was dirty and rundown, and the front-desk staff was rude, condescending and reluctant to help guests. Each time I asked to speak to a manager, I was told he or she was "unavailable." I will never stay in this motel again.

Good economy motel
We were in Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival. The Super 8 is convenient to find off the freeway. A couple of miles drive to town center, which was fine with us. Rooms clean, service polite and efficient. Good wireless connections. Plenty of parking. Quiet. Breakfast not elaborate, but good. You get your money's worth. Carl and Susanne

Basic, could use a little love
We were in town for a weekend at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The Super 8 had all the features--fridge, microwave, etc.--so that was all good. But some things really needed attention. The electronic control panel on the small safe was dangling by wires from the front of the safe (yet still worked!), the smoke detector in the ceiling was also hanging by wires, giving a certain theme to the disrepair. The bathroom fan rattled with the sound of aged bearings. The hallway to the rooms was worn and bleak. The shower was renewed and nice. The bed was clean and comfy. Breakfast was called "Super Starter", but wasn't all that super. Toast and bagels and 2 kinds of cold cereal. Coffee and juice. No fruit (other than the juice). They did keep the breakfast well stocked, which was nice. There's an indoor pool; we wished we thought to bring stuff for swimming. We had a wonderful time in Ashland, but we'll probably try a different hotel next time we visit.

Short drive from hotel
Go for a walk in Lithia Park. It's long and narrow, with one end downtown right by Oregon Shakespeare Festival. There's a duck pond, lovely walking trails, rushing Ashland Creek, playgrounds, picnic areas and more. A beautiful sanctuary!

Overall good experience.
Room was very comfortable and stay was enjoyable. Convenient access to highway and had nice restaurants in the area, some even in walking distance. Good value for the money. Breafast could be a little nicer.
