La Quinta Inn & Suites Ashland

Perfectly located right off the freeway. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great and breakfast room was clean. Indoor pool was awesome and fun!

In these difficult economic times it would be nice for a hotel, whether chain or individual, to give the same service to every guest. We purchased one night at this hotel two days prior to arrival at one rate only to witness, when we checked in, the front desk clerk offering it to someone for $20 less than what we paid. And they wouldn't budge because we had made the reservation with this site and not the hotel directly. Makes us think twice before booking with this site or this chain ever again.

This is our second stay at this Inn- our son andhis family live in Ashland- this Inn is only ten minutes from them. I especially like that their nice walking trails nearby. The grandchildren love to come and swim in the pool with their Dad. The breakfast is outstanding in evey way-

Hotel was as advertised. I was satisfied. However, i was traveling with a small family group. Upon check in we requested putting our rooms closer if possilbe. One clerk was willing to look while another clerk snapped and said no way. If we hadn't done it prior to arrival we weren't going to be allowed to change now. It should be noted that this was a mid week trip and the hotel did not apprear filled any night we were there. In addition the front desk staff was unwilling to help with getting credit either with the chain or its partners. Not a good way to start off.

This hotel is fine for an overnight stay. Close to the freeway and quiet. It is 100% smoke free, but our room had the definite scent of cigarette smoke. We were on an upper floor and the windows couldn't be opened to air out. (What about in case of fire?) The best part of staying here was driving the short distance into Ashland and having dinner at the Peerless Restaurant and Bar. Ashland is a great town that we'll no doubt return to.

The hotel was really easy to find. Front desk staff was helpful, and the room was nice and clean when we arrived. The bed was the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on. We never actually woke up in time for breakfast, which ended at 9:30, but with the hotel in close proximity to downtown Ashland, plenty of food sources were available. Overall, it was a great trip!

NEGATIVE [...] issues: Due to no working wifi in rm. 227 after an hour speaking with the ISP ethostream....La Quinta offered my second night free.[...].Ashland LQ Hotel Info:Standard La Quinta...since I had just stayed for the prior three days at another LQ in Newport, OR...I knew what to expect.AT ASHLAND LQ:Pros:-Great front desk service from: [...]-No extra fee for a dog (needed to call and ask as it was not on-line). Great dog area. Poop bags provided.-Breakfast room: very enjoyable and sunny: boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit (bananas and apples), muffins, etc.-Room: very clean, beds comfortable.-Rm. 227 was very close (20 ft.) to dog area. (second floor is ground floor here)Cons:-Strange drive way entry and 2.5 mile distance from town. Not a problem for me as I did not want to spend much time in town...parking too difficult. -LQ STILL not GREEN, it is Oregon...no florescent bulbs in my room...same excuse as in Newport--"we are waiting for the incandescent to be used up". If they tossed all the incandescent...they would make it up on elec. fees within four-six months. "Penny wise- pound foolish".-No TV channel guide in booklet...had to go to front desk.-No Ice bucket...another trip to the front desk.-No survey/review cards (offered at Newport LQ)...was told by Jim Lewis, G.M."we ran out...they are being ordered".-No wifi during my entire visit unless I carried my laptop into the front desk area.

Nice clean rooms/facilities.For this I'd stay again. Pool area like a sauna not enough room to sit and be comfortable while supervising young kids. Breakfast good but room not big enough to accomodate all the guests.

We were pleasantly surprised by this chain hotel!We normally try boutique hotels in Ashland, but this was just perfect. Simple and clean. Indoor pool and hot tub (great to warm up after a rainy day), substantial breakfast with waffles and eggs and right off I-5. About 5 minutes from downtown where there is plenty of public parking for the theatre. Will definatly stay here again, great deal!

The hotel is right off the freeway. Very convenient for going both north on south on the I-5. It was only a few minutes from downtown. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, good amenities and a very friendly staff.
