great hotel, nice staff, smallish rooms

As expected with most older hotels the rooms are a little small. Very clean. Very comfortable bed with good quality linens. Nicely updated. Good value for the area and the location cannot be beat if you are going to Ashland. The hotel restaurant while not inexpensive features local products, I had dinner brought to my room and the food was hot and nicely presented.

Nice ambiance , friendly staff

we stayed for 2 nights post Shakespere season. Mostly weddings at hotel. But the layout let's events be to the side and affords privacy to those of us who are not there for the event. Room is small. More like France. And very nicely decorated. Food at restaurant yummy. We will go back.

Great place to stay for easy walk to plays

My nicely decorated room was so tiny it would have been uncomfortable for more than one. Who knew you could shoehorn a shower into such a small bathroom! However, the staff were unfailingly helpful, the room was cute, the continental breakfast more than adequate and the location so fantastic that I'll definitely be back!

Charm of Old Times

For the first time they gave me a room which was not the type I asked for. It was the smallest room I ever got in my whole life of travelling in the States and in Eirope.

A new hotel

We celebrated our 36 anniversary. The last time were there was before the hotel was remodeled. What an improvement! Everything about it so great and the service from the staff is impecable with a smile. They really seemed to enjoy their work. The restaurant is fabulous, I think the best in town.

Enjoyable Stay

I have stayed at this hotel previously so I was aware of the size of the rooms. I really like the "Boutique" atmosphere of the hotel. As a business traveler I feel this is very relaxing and makes the trip more enjoyable. The Restaurant was fabulous, great food, a little pricey for a business person's budget, but quality and service were great. The breakfast in the morning could have been better, my oatmeal was cold, and I am not into pastries and bagels, but there was the usual yogurt etc. This is a great weekend getaway hotel in a lovely town, however due to the size of the rooms etc, not really a family style hotel.

Great location

Right downtown in beautiful Ashland...a block from the Shakespeare theaters, and lots of restaurants, artsy shops. Great decor, warm, but not at all pretentious. Clean and friendly. Good simple breakfast, although I had to go get real coffee from a coffee shop both days, as the coffee in the hotel was weak. My room did not have a table for my computer, and I thought they could have easily fit a small one under the tv, but if that's my only complaint.....

Ashland Springs Hotel

Nicely restored hotel, in the most convenient Ashland location, very close to all theaters and a secure parking lot. Very complete breakfast, with hot cereal, fresh cinnamon rolls, scones, bagels and toast. Berries, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. The hotel is easy to find and within walking distance of everything in town. Rooms are adequate in size, very comfortable beds, and all very clean. We would definitely stay here again, as we have in the past. Restaurant on premises but did not eat there.
